Tour felt rushed, during all the tours I have been to in Vietnam it was hard to understand to our guide Scott who tried hard to be engaging with little luck. I booked this tour specifically to learn more about Hue’s history and left disappointed.
The bus ride is long to get to Hue City but once you get there the experience is amazing. The history is fascinating and the sites were very well explained by our guide. The lunch was very good.
this tour isn't quite as advertised. details said pick up at 800 and return 1730. in reality I was picked up at 0730 and would not have got back until 1900. I had to get off the bus early and get a taxi back to my hotel as I had another commitment. We also made a random stop at the beginning to a pearl shop where you were hassled to buy pearls. This was not in the itinerary. That said the lunch was delicious and the vist to the tomb and the citadel were good. Just don't plan anything else that day!
The weather was very good that day, the tour guide Hieu explained in detail, let us understand the history and culture of the imperial city, each scenic spot has enough visiting time, and the itinerary is very fulfilling. The lunch is good, the Vietnamese appetizers are unique and delicious, the main meal tastes average, and there is also a fruit plate, overall it is okay.Highly recommended
Had a great day trip from Danang to Hue. Really enjoyed the freedom to explore each location on our own after a quick and informative introduction from the guide. Could have done without the whistle stops at the pearl store and sweet shop. Lunch stop was fabulous.
This was a full 11 hour trip. I think the 2 stops in the morning were annoying for pearls and essential oils and a waste of time. Other than that the guide, Quick was good and did his best to keep the group moving. The sites of course were very good.
Great trip; our tour guide, Tim was fantastic. The children enjoyed learning experience; plenty of water provided and the lunch as very nice experience
The trip to Huế was a real highlight! We visited the impressive citadel, Thien Mu Pagoda and the beautiful Khai Dinh Tomb. Our guide Jerry was super friendly and led through the day with a lot of knowledge and exciting stories. Especially beautiful: The group size was small, which made the tour very pleasant and personal. Even the lunch was really delicious. Overall a perfect mix of culture, history and relaxation – and the duration was just right, not too long, not too short.
This was an amazing day tour of Hue! From the moment we left, everything was well organized. The guide was super knowledgeable and shared interesting stories about the Nguyen Dynasty, the imperial palace, and the temples. I especially loved visiting Thien Mu Pagoda and Khai Dinh’s Tomb — the mix of architecture styles was stunning. The lunch was a real treat with authentic Hue cuisine served at a cozy local restaurant. It was also nice that the group was small, which made everything feel more personal and smooth. This tour is a great way to dive into Hue’s rich history and culture, even if you only have one day. Definitely worth it!
10 minutes before the bus was to arrive at my hotel the company rang me and told me that the tour had been over booked and that I would have to go the next day. I strongly protested and was eventually offered another tour but much of the tour was information was explained in Vietmanese not English. The tour guides were nice people but I had booked this tour two months before and I found the attitude of the company unacceptable.
