Das Gravieren in Oaxaca ist eine sehr beliebte künstlerische Technik, die sich durch ihren Einzug in die Straßenkunst auszeichnet. In unserem Workshop erlernen Sie auf einfache Art und Weise und ohne Vorkenntnisse die Grundkenntnisse zur Erstellung eines Gravurstücks. Wir begleiten Sie während des gesamten Prozesses und beraten Sie, damit Ihr Ergebnis gut ist und Sie eine gute Zeit haben. Wenn Sie bereits Künstler sind, können Sie auch im Stil lokaler Künstler experimentieren. Sie können auch etwas über den historischen und soziokulturellen Kontext erfahren, der die Entwicklung dieser künstlerischen Praxis in Oaxaca und Mexiko beeinflusst.

I had such a great time learning how to wood carve! My instructor taught me about the history of wood carving and the connection to Oaxacas history. Such a great experience!

We picked this workshop over others because we recognized so much of the art around the city having originated there, and were glad we did! Had a great experience and was happy to have some historical context included with the practical skill knowledge shared. The studio space is wonderful, the art is inspiring and most important the founders/employees were kind, patient and inspiring.
Very father, it is a fun experience and much more if you like art and learn a new technique. April is super friendly.
This was the best woodcut workshop I have done in Oaxaca - ( I have done three others). Abril gives the best instruction, plus she explains the history of Oaxacan woodcuts so we understand better the context of what we see all around town. Highest recommendation!!
It was fantastic, brief history, ideas and help with sketches, taught us how to use carving tools, wasn’t rushed, exceeded our expectations.
Really fun class with Abril who did a great job making sure that our prints came out good! She also shared with us some information about the history of printmaking with a focus on Oaxaca.
This class was super fun, super interesting, and super inspiring! It was so much deeper than I expected. The hosts are not only talented artists, but are incredibly passionate about wood engraving, Mexico's social history, and celebrating meaningful art. Would recommend 10/10!
I had a great experience. Milo and Bri were super helpful in teaching the craft but also by giving a historical context to Oaxacan and Mexican wood prints. Strongly recommended.
This was a fantastic experience and I couldn’t recommend it more. With her help, I ended up with a print that makes me very happy, and is a good memory of my trip. I also loved learning a bit of the history and social significance of woodcarvings
