Die neue Kirche beherbergt das Mausoleum von Wilhelm von Oranien, dem Gründer der Niederlande. In dieser Kirche befindet sich auch die Krypta der königlichen Familie. Die Kirche wurde kürzlich renoviert und ist wunderschön geworden! Besonders lohnenswert sind die vielen Glasfenster. Eine Führung durch die Kirche ist auf Anfrage möglich. Der Eintritt ist nicht inbegriffen.
Wir werden durch das stimmungsvolle Zentrum von Delft gehen und die Orte sehen, an denen Johannes Vermeer lebte und arbeitete.
Während unseres Rundgangs gehen wir den Prinsenhof entlang und sehen die Statue von Wilhelm von Oranien im Hof. Ihr Führer wird Ihnen von Wilhelm von Oranien, dem Vater des Vaterlandes, erzählen.
Das Herz der Stadt, in der wir sehen, wie Delfter Blau hergestellt wird und der Malermeister arbeitet. Hier auch das mittelalterliche Handelszentrum; wie das Wiegehaus, das Butterhaus, die Fleischhalle und die Fischbänke.

Die alte Kirche stammt aus dem 13. Jahrhundert und ist damit die älteste Kirche in Delft. Bekannt für seinen schiefen Turm mit dem Spitznamen "Leaning Jan". Johannes Vermeer, Piet Hein und Anthonie van Leeuwenhoek sind in dieser Kirche begraben. Eine Führung durch die Kirche ist auf Anfrage möglich. Der Eintritt ist nicht inbegriffen
Das Rathaus auf dem Markt gegenüber der Nieuwe Kerk ist ein wunderschönes Gebäude im Neorenaissance-Stil. Renoviert von Hendrick de Keyser, der auch das Mausoleum von Wilhelm von Oranien herstellte. Wenn möglich, schauen wir uns die Eingangshalle an, in der noch deutlich zu sehen ist, wie früh die Justiz stattgefunden hat. Hier befindet sich auch der älteste Turm in Delft, Het Steen. Dieser Turm diente als Gefängnis und der Mörder von Wilhelm von Oranien war auch hier eingesperrt.
Ein gemütlicher Platz mit vielen Terrassen, auf denen Sie das ganze Jahr über entspannen können.

Der Hof van Klaeuw wurde 1605 von den Eigentümern der Brauerei 'de Klaeuw' gegründet. Die Häuser werden von unverheirateten römisch-katholischen Frauen bewohnt. Der Innenhof ist eine Oase der Ruhe und eine Überraschung hinter dem Tor.

On the second visit, the meals were much more varied and very good (than during our first visit) A major downside for the pool, as one person was swimming in a burkini, while the sign hanging on the wall states that swim shorts are prohibited for men. There should be a person to monitor these deviations.

During our 2 day stay, we felt that every need of ours was taken care of by the staff especially Reception Ravi Tiwari The place is luxurious and very peaceful as it is very close to Bhopal Market. Very good vibes. Whole staff was kind and generous and welcoming. The room size is big enough and has a very good view. Wonderful tour of Delft! Yvette is an excellent tour guide and both our 8 year old and 15 year old enjoyed this. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed our day trip to Delft and could have spent a another day roaming the streets, visiting the museums, and sampling the numerous bakeries and restaurants the city has to offer. Yvette met us soon after we arrived by train and provided an in-depth overview of Delft's interesting history and the overall impact it has had on the Netherlands. We couldn't have hoped for a better guide. Yvette was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond by providing recommendations for additional sites to see across the Netherlands and how to make the most of our day trip to Delft.
Our guide was fantastic. She was friendly and so smart. She answered every question and stayed longer than she needed to.
Yvette gave us a tour of Delft that was more than we could have hoped for. The pace was perfect as she showed us the sights and shared their history with us including the new church, monuments, and pointed out snippets of history in the streets and walls throughout Delft without missing a beat. She took us to the Delftware artists and local shops we could try cheese, herring, licorice and stroopwaffel; she also gave us wonderful food and drink recommendations to explore on our own after our tour. Yvette gave us opportunities to ask questions and tailor the experience to what we were looking for. She offered group photos at special spots we wouldn’t have otherwise noticed that are now lasting memories. She was passionate and knowledgeable about her home and it was apparent. We felt so lucky to have her guide us through Delft. Her tour was a top highlight of our trip and the best tour we took of our various bookings throughout the region.
This was an excellent tour. In a short time, our guide gave us an excellent concise overview of Delft. She took us to an independent pottery maker that showed us the process of making Delft pottery. She also advised us of excellent places for dinner and advised us on our train connection to Delft from Amsterdam. I highly advise this tour. Delft is a quaint little quieter get away from Amsterdam
Such a wonderful experience. I learned a lot about Delft and our guide, Dick, told us interesting and fascinating historical facts starting from the 16th century till recent days. We were all captured by his simple, clear explanations and his enthusiasm. I could point at anything around me and he could tell me a story about it. I will never forget what I learned that day. Good weather made the tour even nicer. I highly recommend it.
