Eine frühere Version dieses Museums, das von der Regierung von Ho-Chi-Minh-Stadt betrieben wird, wurde am 4. September 1975 als Ausstellungshaus für US- und Puppenkriminalität eröffnet. 1995, nach der Normalisierung der diplomatischen Beziehungen mit den USA und dem Ende des US-Embargos ein Jahr zuvor, wurden auch die Verweise auf "Kriegsverbrechen" und "Aggression" aus dem Museumstitel gestrichen; es wurde das War Remnants Museum
Der Unabhängigkeitspalast, auch öffentlich als Kongresshalle der Wiedervereinigung bekannt, wurde an der Stelle des ehemaligen Norodom-Palastes erbaut und ist ein Wahrzeichen von Ho-Chi-Minh-Stadt (früher bekannt als Saigon), Vietnam. Es wurde vom Architekten Ngô Viết Thụ entworfen und war während des Vietnamkrieges Wohn- und Arbeitsplatz des Präsidenten von Südvietnam. Während des Falls von Saigon am 30. April 1975 war es der Ort des Endes des Vietnamkrieges, als ein Panzer der nordvietnamesischen Armee durch seine Tore krachte.
Die Kathedrale Notre-Dame-Basilika von Saigon ist eine Kathedrale in der Innenstadt von Ho-Chi-Minh-Stadt, Vietnam. Gegründet von französischen Kolonisten, die sie ursprünglich die Kirche von Saigon (französisch: l'Eglise de Saïgon) nannten, wurde die Kathedrale zwischen 1863 und 1880 erbaut. Der Name Notre-Dame-Kathedrale wird seit 1959 verwendet eine Höhe von 58 Metern (190 Fuß).
Thien Hau Pagode in Cho Lon - ein Tempel im chinesischen Stil in der Nguyen Trai Street in Cho Lon (China Town) - Bezirk 5, gewidmet Thien Hau, der Dame des Meeres, auch bekannt als "Mazu" ("Tian Hou" auf Chinesisch).
Das Saigon Central Post Office ist ein Postamt in der Innenstadt von Ho-Chi-Minh-Stadt, in der Nähe der Basilika Notre-Dame von Saigon, der Kathedrale der Stadt. Our tour of the main historical tours of Ho Chi Minh City under the guidance of Joseph was very enjoyable and instructive. Joseph's kind flexibility in rearranging his itinerary to please us was very appreciated. He shared insightful information with us relative to daily life conditions in this great city. Thanks a lit, Joseph, for being such a great host!
The tour was good but more time needed for War Museum. Did not like the car for transportation as it was too small with a low roof. I bumped my head each time getting in and out of car.
We were short on time and so a half day tour suited our needs. Hao was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and attentive. He takes good pictures too! We took in all the major sites with door to door transfer in a clean and comfortable car. Driver was very good and safe. Highly recommend if you're short on time but still want to see and learn Ho Chi Minh history.
Our guide and driver were wonderful! We learned so much about the city and Vietnam history . Definitely an experience worth trying.
This is a really good tour for getting an overview of the city. The visit to the Presidential estate was very informative and they've done a great job of keeping it as it was in the late 60's early 70's. We had plenty of time to explore the War Remnants museum. Our guide Bau was also very informative and provided his insight as to the situation leading up to and after the Vietnam war. The other short stops at the Post office and Temple in Chinatown were also interesting. I could have by passed the trip to the lacquer factory interesting but I’m sure there are more interesting sights in Saigon.
Awesome tour! Guide and driver were both fantastic and extremely accommodating to my wife and year old! Seen a lot in a little amount of time!
It was a great experience for both my mom & I. It was very informative. I really liked that our guide really explained a lot about the history of Việt Nam, the culture and it’s people. We only had a very limited time in HCMC. One day was a visit to the tunnels and the next day we booked this tour as you are able to see all the city highlights. Got picked up by a guide with driver on a private car at 8am and got driven around learning, seeing & experiencing everything. We were back at the hotel at 12:30ish as we had an early afternoon flight. We opted out of the lacquer part of the tour as we had seen that the previous day as part of the tunnel tour.

This was a wonderful tour of Hanoi. Our guide, Travis, was very knowledgeable and friendly. His English is excellent and he connected very well with the group. The tour consisted of 4 main sites: the National Defense Temple, the Literature Temple, St. Joseph’s Cathedral and the Opera House. At the end we got a complimentary drink at a well-known egg coffee café. Overall a wonderful tour, well worth your time.
Amazing tour guide, really interesting day, I learned a lot about the Vietnamese history- some of it was hard to see in the museum but well worth the visit
If you are looking for a quick city tour, this is an excellent tour to choose. Our tour guide Mr. Bau was spoke clear and fluent English. He was very helpful in understanding the Vietnamese culture and people. The city tour however short, was still quite a highlight during our visit.
