Alex was a great guide. He arranged my entire trip around Ethiopia, including Addis Ababa, Lalibela and Gondar, and handled and paid attention to every detail. The trip was fascinating, and included all meals, hotels, guides in each location and everything else. I highly recommend Alex as your guide and arranger in Ethiopia!

After this wonderful trip, we thank Alex for preparing it so well and for looking after us from start to finish. Alex chose tours, hotels and restaurants based on our tastes and expectations. We left with family (7 people). Our guide Dawit and our drivers were very friendly and very professional. The North being a bit risky, after visiting Lalibela and its exciting buried churches, we went down to Arba Minch, along the great lakes, while visiting animal parks and meeting local people and then up to Addis Ababa. This review is based on my email communications with Alex from Memento, as I ended up not doing the tour with him for reasons outside of his control. Alex was extremely professional from the beginning. Over a few months timeframe, he spent a considering amount of time answering all my questions and helping me design the perfect tailored and detailed itinerary. He always wrote back the same day or the day after, speaks perfect English, and his price was super fair. You shouldn't hesitate to chose him. Memento is reliable - just look at the other reviews. I felt very confident about the company, and I will choose it when I go back to Ethiopia. Do yourself a break and do the same. You are in safe hands :)

Visited Gondar and Simien mountains with the company. The trip was perfectly organised, even at a very short notice. The guide was great, knowledgable, and presented all the sightseeings in detail.

We highly recommend Memento tour when organising a tour in Ethiopia : from the first contact via whatsup Alex has been an excellent and professional tour organiser. He understood our needs in setting up a very well balanced tour in the region, both historical and naturalistic. More, he agreed and suggested a day off without any problem. A very nice journey in a changing country, Alex and his teams have great experience on the ground and traveller requests and everything went very well.

Very good organization and pre-trip support/explanations from Alex. Special compliments to the driver-guide Charlie who was with us from Mikele to Lalibela and who was always there for us. Alex got us very good local guides in the cities/places we visited on the way. Most memorable highlights of the trip: Gheralta mountains, Gondar, Lalibela cathedrals, Lake Tana and monasteries, Assale salt lake and baboons in Simien park.
