Alfama ist nicht nur eines der ältesten und malerischsten Viertel Lissabons, sondern auch eines der einzigen Viertel, das beim Erdbeben von 1755 nicht zerstört wurde. Und so hat sich die Stadt noch immer ihren urigen familiären Charme bewahrt. Tatsächlich stammt der Spitzname dieses Viertels vom arabischen „al-hamma“, was „heiße Brunnen“ oder „Bäder“ bedeutet. Die steilen verwinkelten Gassen dieses Viertels sind in wunderschönen Azulejos eingerichtet und bieten einen atemberaubenden Blick auf das Meer aus Terrakottadächern und den Tejo. Die Aromen der traditionellen Portugiesischen Küche, die Anklänge an Fado-Tunes und die älteren Portugiesen, die quatschen, machen dieses Viertel zu einem der authentischsten in Lissabon! Unsere Tour beginnt in Rossio und passiert einige Schlüsselbereiche, bevor Sie ins Herz von Alfama fahren, wo Sie auch einen Halt am Miradouro Portas do Sol machen, bevor Sie die Tour an der Kathedrale beenden.

Jack was a superb guide, albeit a bit shaky on guitar legends from his hometown. He started with a very helpful introduction and went on from there to cover just about everything we wanted to know in 2.5 hours. It was a long hot climb but the stop for the excellent pastel de nata and the benelyn like ginga were well judged. We got a lot out of it. We followed up on several of his suggestions and they worked

Tour is very reasonable price but they The tour offers a reasonable price, but they will ask you to leave a tip of approximately €5 or more at the end. Therefore, it is not entirely complimentary. Additionally, conducting thorough research beforehand can prevent you from needing to take this tour.
