We had a great time with our guide Vincent. The hike went perfectly between walking and exchange time around the piton of the furnace. You can go with your eyes closed!!

Our guide Thierry made the experience very pleasant. Very con Aïssa not only from the place but from the island, it gave us a lot of information. He also guided us off path and knew how to adjust the path according to the weather and thus offer us several pleasant views including that of the crater. We really wanted to do the long tour to the volcano, but unfortunately it was only available in French. We were lucky and a friendly couple knew English and translated the most important information for us. Our mountain guide seemed very competent and if he spoke, you could recover well. The Sanck was limited to a thumb-sized piece of cake and unfortunately seemed very alibious. Sanitary facilities are in poor condition at the present time. It's best to take toilet paper with you when we got there. Five new toilets have already been built, but unfortunately were not yet in operation - maybe you are lucky. Probably this is also the reason why you encounter so many snippets of paper on the way to the volcano summit. We can clearly recommend the hike despite the criticisms, had a good time and were able to take great photos. Special thanks to Alice&Alex😘

It was really an amazing experience to be able to hike on this volcano! We started in the morning in the fog and drizzle giving the landscape a ghostly look, then the weather gradually improved as we discovered the wonderful landscape that surrounded us with beautiful rainbows finally we had the chance to see the main crater in its entirety during a beautiful thinning. Another big thank you to our escort Guillaume for his professionalism, knowledge and kindness.

Extraordinary, not easy hike but worth it once you arrive at the crater, arrived before 10 a.m. because after the clouds arrive quickly. Bring good shoes, cap, sun cream and water +++
