Hidden Gems of Old Hoi An – Essen & Kultur Rundgang

My trip guide Swan picked me up from my hotel, and we walked around in local areas of Hoi An. I enjoyed to see how local people live here, and Swan told me local stories too.

Excellent tour with guides Quynh and Tau! I was the only guest. They were both bright, funny, knowledgeable, and excited to show me Hoi An. The food was delicious, including classics like banh xeo and banh mi, but also some lesser-known dishes like banh dap and local specialty cao lau. Quynh kept us moving at an efficient pace to all of our stops. Would recommend to anyone coming to Hoi An.

Had a great experience on my tour. My Guide Swan was super informative and passionate about the tour. I got lots of behind the scenes insights and had some great food at places ai would have never been able to find myself. My favorite was seeing how they make Cao Lau from scratch and to taste the noodles afterwards.

As a family of four—a mother travelling with three teenagers—we had an absolutely fantastic time on the Hidden Gems of Hoi An tour with Swan. It was the perfect way to experience the authentic side of Hoi An beyond the usual tourist attractions. Swan was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, taking us through the back lanes of Hoi An, the beautiful rice fields, and the local market where we saw how fresh produce is bought and sold each day. We also visited local families and learned firsthand how bean sprouts and traditional noodles are made, which was fascinating. One of the highlights was the amazing local food we enjoyed throughout the tour—every stop was delicious and gave us a real taste of the region. What impressed us most was that all four of us, including my three teenagers, were genuinely engaged from start to finish. Swan’s storytelling, local insights, and friendly personality made every moment interesting and memorable. Swannnnnnnn is a legend ! We loved her she was as the best tour guide ever. Every place we went to was incredible. The food was amazing and Swan had so much knowledge we love her!

We had a great time being shown the local highlights by Thuy. She made sure to bridge the gap for us to get a real insight of what life in Hoi An is like away from the touristy hustle & bustle. We were able to discover hidden gems we would have otherwise missed. Thuy was very friendly, accommodating & went out of her way to give us a wonderful experience. We’d definitely recommend this tour as a must when you visit Hoi An.
