Aber wenn man die Markthallen, Bäckereien und kleinen Bodegas dieser bunten, weniger erforschten Gegend erkundet, tritt die Politik du jour zurück und die tiefen kulinarischen Wurzeln dieser einzigartigen Kultur.

Unser Tag wird aus einer Reihe köstlicher Häppchen und faszinierender Sehenswürdigkeiten bestehen. Wir beginnen unsere Food-Tour in Barcelona mit Kaffee und traditionellem Gebäck in einem jahrhundertealten Süßwarenladen und essen uns dann durch zwei der berühmtesten Märkte Barcelonas.
Während wir durch einen der weniger bekannten öffentlichen Märkte Barcelonas gehen, halten wir an, um einige seiner Verkäufer kennenzulernen und ihre köstlichen Angebote zu probieren.

Our guide Guillermo was fabulous. We were a small group so moving from place to place was easy. We sampled Catalan food and drinks. And got to visit businesses that were authentic and not chains. We had a wonderful time touring Barcelona with Senem. She was a great guide for our group and took us all over the city. She gave us a true variety, starting with breakfast, moving through snacks at the market, and ending with a great lunch. Had an amazing day with Senem our tour guide. Explored a fascinating and genuine area of Barcelona. The itinerary was perfect for us with a blend of food shops and Bodegas/small restaurants. All of the stops (and there were many) were of the highest quality. Nice, friendly small group. This was our third tour with Culinary Backstreet and like the other 2 was extremely well done. Ivan lead us through Gracia district sharing the history and giving us a taste of the typical cusine. We enjoyed tasting the variation of food and drink, which there was plenty of, from one district to another. I loved the village feel of Gracia. Ivan also shared some of his favorite places to eat in other areas of Barcelona. We'd definitely recommend this tour!!!
