Travelled on the Campania Express ( sorted by Tempio Travel ) with reserved seats. Easy walk down hill to site where we were met at the entrance by Giovanni our guide.His tour was excellent ,full of facts delivered in a easy to understand way. Answered our questions and provided a good background to the city in relationship to Pompeii.A tour worth taking
We are glad that we had Italo who is very knowledgeable. He showed us details that are not obvious like angel symbols.

We booked tickets online for the visit of Ercolano scavi and on arrival we took a private guide Luciano Leone, very good especially having in the group 6 children, more or less the same age 8 years, managed to keep their attention for 2 hours. Very pleasant and also fun visit that, of course, if done yourself would not have had the same success.
Ginevra had arranged for the two of us to participate in a small (max 14 people) guided tour of Herculaneum. The guide – Loretta – was an excellent guide, her enthusiasm and explanations made us feel as if we were walking in a living city.
Our tour of Herculaneum was spectacular! Ancient ruins that are largely intact and easy to visualize how they looked centuries ago. Our guide, Loretta, was fantastic. She was enthusiastic, knowledgable and totally professional: she really made the site come to life. We learned so much while having a lot of fun.
