Hera Luxury Cruise - Die luxuriöseste Tagestour in Halong Bay

Wonderful day cruise around Halong Bay. Ship was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. Food at lunch buffet was very good. Would recommend this tour for anyone wanting a premium experience!

Fabulous trip out to see the bay. We were picked up at 7am from our hotel in Hanoi, in a luxury 7 seater. As its a 2 hr journey there is a stop at a pearl factory, but there's no pressure to buy. We then had a short wait to get onto the boat. Getting on the boat, everyone was made very welcome with guests given a rose on arrival. There was a short meeting to let you know of the itinerary and days activities, and then free to relax and enjoy the views of the bay. The boat is one of the earliest to leave so arriving at locations before other boats. Lunch is a generous buffet with many options for all tastes, the mango and shrimp salad was extremely good. The first activity is on a wooden boat into the caves, followed by time for a canoe/swim stop. It was nice to see that during this time any rubbish seen in the water was picked up to help keep the area clean. There is short cooking demo and afternoon tea. The boat itself has everything you need, seating areas in and outside, sunbeds on the top deck. Very clean and tidy throughout and the staff were super helpful. There is a band on board who sang later in the day, but its definitely not a 'party' boat. Very relaxed and chilled out. We throughly enjoyed our day and would recommend. It is a long day but we felt it was well worth it.

Lots of notes from the day - I wish I'd done another genuine 1st class trip - this was not the best as is billed by a long way. Picked up first at 6.40am - as it unfolded in the morning - it could have been at least 1 hour later than this. Part of the journey to the boat was a 30 minute stop off to be enticed to buy pearls - really not happy about that. Then waiting at the dockside for 30 minutes for the boat to be prepared and the obligatory purchase of drinks from the cafe. The on boat introduction - uncomfortable listening - weak jokes and all about the wealthy owner of the island - who cares. No commentary for any part of the trip on the history / conservation / anything. Clearly told to settle any payment before leaving the boat! Happy hour did not involve beer - only cocktails!? The fact drinks had to be paid for was a bit much given the ticket price. Lots of noisy kids on the tour (they must get a heavy discount) and parts of the boat turned into self imposed private areas for larger groups. The food during the day was poor and uninspiring. Sad to see litter floating about in the bay - the same problem worldwide. It felt like how much money can we make from everyone attending. This was a big commitment of time - 14 hours for me from start to hotel return - very disappointed and dampened the magical trip I was hoping for. Would have paid at least another £20 onto the £90 to bring about the necessary changes needed. I will do the trip again in 2026 - but with a real luxury experience.

I had a fantastic time on the cruise! The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel welcome throughout the trip. The food was delicious with a great variety of options to suit every taste. I also loved the wide range of activities offered—there was always something fun to do, whether it was relaxing by the pool, enjoying live entertainment, or joining group games and events. It was a wonderful experience overall, and I would definitely recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation at sea

Our day trip to Ha Long Bay was a highlight of our honeymoon! Everything from start to finish was flawless. Ms. Luong was wonderful about communicating with me right after booking and ensuring we had a special experience. The views were unbelievable, the staff were so hospitable, the food and drinks were delicious, and it was a great mix of activities and relaxation. We could not recommend this cruise with Jade Sails highly enough!

A superb one day experience. You can see it all and do it all with this cruise. You don't need longer. The crew were fantastic; 100% giving in every way. The boat is luxury. The buffet lunch was delicious. The cost of additional drinks was reasonable. From my passport they picked up that it was my birthday so they gave a cake and a bouquet of roses.

The Jade Sails ship is new and modern. The buffet lunch was good. Because we don't eat seafood, the chef prepared a few special dishes for us. There were many other options on the buffet that we really enjoyed, including the Bun Cha on the second floor deck. The included activities were good. We enjoyed the cooking demo and the boat ride to the caves. The two women's toilets were often clogged, so needs improvement. What the Jade Sails company desperately needs to do is buy new transport vans for the long drive to and from Hanoi, or else not to fill them with over five people so that no one has to sit in the back row of seats. There are two rows of two captain seats each, which are probably very comfortable. Then there is a back bench row with three seats that are cramped and extremely bumpy, to the point where our backs hurt. Guests on other vans who sat in the back seat had the same problem. On the way back, we discovered that one back seat had a massage feature, but it was not pleasant. So did another one but it was not working.

This was a wonderful experience with excellent service, food and views. I especially appreciated how relaxing it was - no rush, friendly staff and well-organized activities. They provided great vegetarian food and took good care of me as a solo traveller. Recommend!

So glad I did research and booked Jade Sails for a 1 day cruise to Ha Long Bay recently from Hanoi. Everything about this day was brilliant thanks to the incredible team (Vinny, Jenni etc). It is a long day, but a good one. The pickup was on time and very much a luxury small bus with added touches (water, wifi etc). Tea is offered on arrival to the marina, with boarding shortly after. There was only 17 on our boat on this particular day with pretty heavy rain on and off. None the less, there was lots to see and learn. Vinny provided a great overview of the day, and answered questions throughout the day. The lunch provided was good and thank you to the team for catering to my last minute request brilliantly. The cave tour and kayaking were fun, and the cooking demonstration capped off a great day. Due to the rain we were running early and skipped the full afternoon sunset party but I dont think that dampened the day in any way. Transport back was efficient. I was a bit hesitant booking just a day trip for Ha Long Bay, thinking it would be hard to fit a good experience in (as opposed to overnight), but SO glad i got a wonderful experience thanks to Jade Sails cruise. Highly recommend!
