Hellesylt-Sightseeing-Boot Geirangerfjord

We had a fabulous experience. We got the bus at our cruise terminal in Maloy. Two hours bus ride on a comfy bus with a guide and then the RIB boat tour. Once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. 100 percent recommend. Only thing to mention is that our tour was full day but no food provided (which is fine) but they didn't mention anything about food. Luckily we had brought a lot of snacks but would recommend packing lunch. Otherwise no complaints and would definitely book with them again.

Estafaría and Flor were super good to us, those who dress each group were very insensitive.

Great tour Uri was our guide & was very knowledgeable. We saw plenty of waterfalls including the Seven Sisters. Good trip & we enjoyed it

I sent 2 emails and 3 phone calls to FjordGuiding to find out why I had not had a refund from my booking because the cruise ship was unable to go into its port, even though I had cancelled before the 24 hr deadline for cancellation. Finally, they told me that the refund had been sent to Trip Advisor because that`s who I made the booking with, and I should claim from them i.e. Trip Advisor. So, presumably Trip Advisor has my money and I don`t know how to claim it back. Help! Details of booking can be provided.

Great scenery but not the best organised, we arrived early to where we were supposed to go but no signs from the company to state we were in the right place, went in to ask at the information desk and they directed us to a completely different area, went back and finally found where to go, we queued and had our tickets scanned and as we went around the corner to the boat there was another queue, this was because another staff member had let people in without even seeing there was a queue, she didnt even check there tickets which was quite frustrating as it meant we didnt have the choice of seats. Boat ride was great with amazing sceneray.

Wrong directions provided on itinerary email for embarkation point. We were sent to Hellesylt Camping, the boat was in the other direction. No one was available to confirm this. No help with disabled passengers on and off the boat. The pre-recorded commentary was muffled and inaudible. The whole experience was very disappointing to say the least. Would not recommend this sightseeing tour.

Cruised in to Hellsylt on P&O Iona and booked this for the morning, after we disembarked. We booked directly with staff on shore and the price was reasonable and availability was good. The boat had some outside space with benches and plenty of good indoor seating, with no restrictions on moving in and outdoors. This meant that our 11 and 8 year old could sit inside if they wanted whilst we stood outside. The views were brilliant and the tour was a good length, about 80 minutes. The captain slowed the ship at a couple of waterfalls which allowed for photo opportunities but the whole Fjord was breath taking. There was a commentary at points although a bit tricky to hear when outside and the boat was moving. Didn't really matter though as the views held my attention.

As we were coming from the cruise port we were worried about getting to Hellesylt camping where the rib ride trips take off from, however it was super easy and only a short walk about from the port. The trip itself was absolutely fantastic! We agreed it was in our top 3 experiences in our lifetimes. Uri was our driver and he was super friendly and quick to a punchline, stopping the boat occasionally to allow us to take pictures and to provide some well wanted commentary about the surrounding areas. He was really fast pace in both his story telling and his boat driving, giving us an unforgettable thrill ride! Absolutely loved this trip and would repeat it again and again if we could! Ps. Definitely wear sunglasses! Our dad forgot and he was crying from the wind. Also a pair of gloves would be handy on a chillier day. Thankyou Uri!!

‘Fine’ is all I can say about this trip. Getting on the boat was easy and it was on time but it was a pretty boring boat trip all in all. I wish we’d done something else in Hellesylt.
