Heiliges Tal Das Heilige Tal wurde für die Inka zu einem Gebiet königlicher Anwesen und Landhäuser, für die religiöse Einrichtung und auch für die Landwirtschaft. Eines davon war der Mais, eine Prestigepflanze für die Inka, aus der Chicha hergestellt wurde, ein fermentiertes Maisgetränk, das die Inka und ihre Untertanen bei ihren zahlreichen zeremoniellen Festen und religiösen Feierlichkeiten tranken. Auf dieser ganztägigen Tour durch das Heilige Tal besuchen Sie beeindruckende Bauwerke von Städten wie Pisac und Ollantaytambo, deren Wasserfontänen noch immer aus den Gebirgsflüssen kommen. Ihre Reise beginnt um 8:00 Uhr mit einer Abholung von Ihrem Hotel in Cusco. Wir steigen durch die Berge auf, vorbei am ikonischen Saqsaywaman, bevor wir 450 Meter ins bezaubernde Heilige Tal hinabsteigen. Hier schlängelt sich der heilige Fluss Urubamba durch malerische Landschaften und führt uns zum charmanten Dorf Pisac. Unser erster Halt ist Pisacs lebendiger traditioneller Markt, eine Oase der lokalen Kunst und farbenfrohe Souvenirs – perfekt, um ein besonderes Andenken zu finden. Nach etwa 30 Minuten steigen wir zur archäologischen Stätte Pisac auf, die majestätisch über dem Tal thront. Erkunden Sie diese faszinierenden Ruinen bei einer Führung und entdecken Sie antike Inka-Strukturen, zeremonielle Altäre, komplizierte Schnitzereien und den berühmten Intihuatana-Stein. Die atemberaubende Aussicht auf das Tal darunter ist unvergesslich. Verbringen Sie etwa 90 Minuten hier oder entscheiden Sie sich dafür, mehr Zeit im Markt zu genießen und der Gruppe später wieder beizutreten. Machen Sie sich bereit für eine unvergessliche Mischung aus Kultur, Geschichte und atemberaubender Landschaft!
Nach einer malerischen Fahrt machen wir in der charmanten Stadt Urubamba eine Mittagspause (ca. 45 Minuten, Mittagessen nicht inbegriffen), umgeben von der atemberaubenden Kulisse des Heiligen Tals. Danach geht es weiter nach Ollantaytambo, einst Königssitz des großen Inka-Kaisers Pachacuti. Diese antike Stadt ist ein Meisterwerk der Inka-Technik und -Design und verbindet zeremonielle, landwirtschaftliche und architektonische Wunder. Bewundern Sie während unserer einstündigen Erkundung den beeindruckenden Sonnentempel, in dem kolossale Steine von geschickten Inka-Steinmetzen tadellos geschnitzt und angebracht wurden. Spazieren Sie durch landwirtschaftliche Terrassen, die genial entworfen wurden, um Mikroklimate zu schaffen, und entdecken Sie komplizierte steinerne Wasserfontänen und Kanäle, die den Einfallsreichtum der Inka-Wassertechnik unterstreichen. Ollantaytambo ist nicht nur eine historische Stätte, sondern ein lebendiges Zeugnis für die Brillanz der Inka-Zivilisation und ein Ort, der Sie in Ehrfurcht erregen wird.
Unser letzter Halt führt uns in das bezaubernde Dorf Chinchero, wo Geschichte und Kultur lebendig werden. Hier verbringen wir etwa 30 Minuten mit der Erkundung des faszinierenden Hauptplatzes, der Heimat einer massiven Inka-Steinmauer mit zehn perfekt gearbeiteten trapezförmigen Nischen. Höhepunkt ist die wunderschöne Kolonialkirche von Chinchero, die Anfang des 17. Jahrhunderts auf den Überresten eines alten Inkapalastes erbaut wurde. Im Inneren blühen die Wände mit komplizierten floralen und religiösen Designs, eine atemberaubende Verschmelzung von Anden- und spanischer Kunst. Wenn wir durch Chinchero wandern, werden Sie auch seine lebendigen Traditionen bemerken. Die Einheimischen tragen stolz farbenfrohe Kleidung, die eine einzigartige Mischung aus indigenen und spanischen Einflüssen widerspiegelt. Umrahmt wird dies alles von atemberaubenden Ausblicken auf die schneebedeckten Gipfel von Chicón und Veronica, was Chinchero zu einem unvergesslichen Abschluss unserer Reise durch das Heilige Tal macht. Schließlich geht es zurück nach Cusco, wo wir Sie in Ihrem Hotel absetzen

Cusco and Machu Pichu were great. The highlight was definitely Machu Pichu!! Absolutely would like to go again. Our tour guide Claudio Andia was so good.
