Reiseverlauf

What a wonderful experience? Started with our amazing guide & driver, Michael who was very informative. His knowledge of history was astounding. The visit to Schloss Heidelberg is a must do. It was probably one of the best castles we have ever seen. It was great to have time walking through the old town. Thoroughly record this tour.
Michael was a great guide and driver. On the route going there i learnt so much about Frankfurt and Heidelberg. Heidelberg was lovely and the castle quite stunning.
Terrible experience with this driver/tour guide!
Not pleasant experience! The guide and driver are the same person, who's driving really made us physically sick by over speeding and refusing to turn on the A/C when the temperature inside the van is over 34 degree-C high. and we all were sweating and feeling stuffy, nausea, and headache. When we asked the driver to turn on the AC, he even complained that we should not come for a tour in this hot weather and in the afternoon of a Sunday when he wanted to get off the work. He lied that the AC does not work and he didn't know how to fix it, but close to end of the tour on our way back he turned on the AC for a few minutes and it worked fine. Obviously, he played a game with us in order to ask for more tips while save more gases. His attitude is bad and provided us with the worst services that we had during our 10-days European trip. Really hope that he can correct his mindset and serve his customer with a better and honest manner.
I didn’t appreciate the rush created by the guide. Also, super dirty car- lacked basic hygiene. On the way the air conditioner didn’t work- felt like siting in a furnace.
A good day trip! I rented a car for the trip and stopped by Auerbach Castle along the way. We didn't have any problems finding parking although we waited a little bit foe a spot to be available. We ended up hiking up to the castle instead taking the funicular; the hike was of medium intensity and fairly short and at the end of the hike, you're rewarded with a great view of the city and meandering river. It takes about 2-3 hours to tour the castle and enjoy the views before we headed back down to explore the old town. As expected, it's catered to tourists but the vibe is nice and there are lots of restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops to indulge in. All in all, a good day trip to go to.
Our guide Thomas was very knowledgeable about the history of Frankfurt and Heidelberg town and castle. He is very pleasant and answered all of our questions thoroughly.
Lots of walking! The tour is mostly driving! Which is OK, beautiful scenery! And the bus was comfortable!
Beautiful town, friendly guide. This town gives you a vibe of the old Germany. Small shops, restaurants, and churches.
The Heidelberg Castle and Old Town Tour from Frankfurt was one of the best experiences of our trip to Germany. Everything was exceptionally well organized, and it was the perfect way to visit one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the country without any stress. My boyfriend and I loved every part of this tour. The journey from Frankfurt was comfortable and scenic, and our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the history of Heidelberg. The commentary throughout the trip was interesting and made the experience even more enjoyable. Heidelberg Castle was absolutely breathtaking. The castle ruins, magnificent Renaissance architecture, and spectacular views over the old town and the Neckar River were unforgettable. We had plenty of time to explore the castle grounds, take photos, and learn about its fascinating history. The Old Town was equally charming, with beautiful cobblestone streets, historic buildings, lovely cafés, and a wonderful atmosphere. Walking through the picturesque streets felt like stepping into a fairytale, and we especially enjoyed visiting the famous market square and the Old Bridge. The tour was well paced, with a perfect balance of guided information and free time to explore on our own. We highly recommend this tour to anyone staying in Frankfurt. It offers an unforgettable combination of history, architecture, culture, and stunning scenery. One of the highlights of our trip to Germany and truly excellent in every way!
