This is a long day, but you see so much of the island. Kevin was amazing and very informative. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the island as well as fun facts and local tidbits.
Mel (Melvin) made us feel like family. We felt his love for this Island the entire trip🌴 We have been here several times before but appreciate it in a way we had never known before. Thank you Mel! Highly recommend this tour if you want to learn more about the culture and history that comes with this beautiful place.

Henry does all the driving with commentary on the sites. We saw turtles at the Black Sand Beach, ate wonderful pastries and had an immersive experience at Volcanos National Park. It is a long day but lots of stops and the van was comfortable.

Very wonderful tour of the island and the volcanoes. Our tour guide, Mel, was extremely knowledgeable in his history of the island and had a very charismatic way in sharing with his travelers. Excellent driver too.

Wow! The volcano was erupting and our guide was just as excited as we were! His experience and knowledge really paid off as he knew exactly where to go to avoid the big crowds! We got the best views and he even took a group picture of us that included the volcano fountain! What an unforgettable, incredible experience! Thank you Derek!

Over all this tour was the best I’ve ever been on! Melvin, our guide was a wealth of historical and scientific information. Very helpful and courteous! Please give him a raise! lol! If I could give a rating, it will be 10!

**Tour guide Henry was great he was very knowledgeable, fun and engaging. ** The reason for the low rating is due to how the company scheduled this trip that ended up being cut short due to time restrictions. The company booked us with 2 other parties that had to be dropped off at 2 different airports one in Hilo and the other in Kona which is about 2 hours from each other. This meant they had to be dropped off at a certain time so they would not miss their flight. In addition we were with someone who was not physically able to get in and out the van or do the walking required which slowed down everyone else significantly. From my understanding they should have booked a private tour so that they would not slow everyone else down. As a result Henry could not take us to all of the attractions that were listed. This company should think about there tour guides and customer experiences more when booking these tours.

We enjoyed both beauty and culture on this trip. Mel is a very good singer and storyteller and full of knowledge! Hawaii should be proud to have him!

This was a great overview of the island, and is a wonderful choice if you have limited time to explore and want to see the highlights. We also did not have a personal car, so it's a great way to get around the island, plus not have to worry about parking. Mel was our tour guide and was AMAZING. The only downside was that everyone on our tour but us was flying out of Hilo on our afternoon, so we had to rush through the National Park in order to get them to their flights. We felt a little jipped due to that - didn't even know that airport drop-offs were possible and that it could affect our itinerary. We were told the waterfall stop was skipped due to the parking lot being under construction?? Overall, we would still recommend this tour; I guess it is just important
