Ihre Reise beginnt am Eingang des Parks, Volcano, HI. Zuerst gehen wir direkt durch das Eingangstor und erkunden die Gegend um das Besucherzentrum. Anmerkung : Die Tour ist über 24,5 Meilen lang, mit mehr als 43 Audiogeschichten, und dauert etwa 2 - 3 Stunden. Neu, lebenslanger Zugang, kein Ablauf. Es ist eine Freizeiteinrichtung für Soldaten, aber seine Geschichte war nicht nur Spaß und Spiel. Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs wurde dies nicht nur zu einem Internierungslager für Kriegsgefangene, sondern auch für unschuldige japanische Bürger.

Dieser Trail führt direkt durch den Kilauea Iki Crater! Es ist eine 3,3-Meilen-Schleife, die etwa drei Stunden dauert, aber der Höhenunterschied kann anstrengend sein.
Die Thurston Lava Tube entstand vor über 500 Jahren, als geschmolzene Lava durch das Gebiet floss und eine tunnelartige Höhle schuf, als die Lava auf der Außenseite abkühlte und hart wurde, während die Lava auf der Innenseite weiter floss. Der Luamanu-Krater war einst mit einem dichten Wald gefüllt … aber das änderte sich an nur einem Tag.

This was way better than spending $280 for a tour, informative, easy to follow, at your own pace etc. only thing that would have been nice is if it would work in reverse.

It was very interesting. We enjoyed hearing the history of area. Try to make it to the arch by the sea, it was worth the drive. The app was able to keep track of where we were on our drive with gps even if we went out of order?

Very easy and informative audio tour if you haven’t planned for your Volcanoes NP visit and activities. NP app also includes a tour option, also self-paced, but not audio(facts must be read on the NP app). NP app is free but this one is fairly low cost. Both have their merits.
