I was looking forward to seeing the gospel, but I was disappointed. I knew it would be a touristy thing; the date and duration (1 hour) were convenient, but it would have been much better to attend a real mass (perhaps, if it was too long, leaving early...). It was truly something solely and exclusively for tourists (the audience was ONLY tourists), and to be honest, I do not know much about music, but the singers were not exceptional in my opinion. I would not do it again.

For those who want a more spiritual, immersive experience, attending a Sunday service at one of Harlem's historic churches is something we genuinely recommend, and our guides are always happy to suggest the best ones. We received two different addresses for the event, which was quite confusing. Then the event ended up taking place at a completely different location. We were disappointed that there was not a fair with locals, but only a concert for tourists was held. We would have wished to experience something authentic. Unfortunately, the acoustics were not particularly good either. However, the singers did their job well. Overall, I would say that I have attended better gospel concerts.
We're truly sorry for the confusion with the addresses and the venue — that's not the experience we want for our guests, and we're looking into it right away. We also hear you on wanting something that feels real and rooted in the community. That's our goal too, and your feedback will help us shape a more authentic experience going forward. We had a great time. The troupe was exceptional and passed on beautiful values for just over an hour: love, brotherhood, freedom and joie de vivre. This experience is really dedicated to tourists wishing to live the “Harlem gospel experience”, which is also what we liked because we could hardly attend a full mass with faithful just to satisfy our desire to discover gospel. We might not have felt our place, when we were very comfortable there.

A very different mass, 90% sung by wonderful voices. The day I went there were five people singing and praising God. Punctuality. It is worth watching and experiencing this experience!
