Hamlet und Schweden Tour - Zwei Länder an einem Tag !

This was one of the best day tours I took during my visit to Copenhagen. In a single day, I was able to explore two countries, learn about their shared history, and enjoy some beautiful scenery along the way. The highlight was visiting Kronborg Castle, the UNESCO World Heritage Site that inspired Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Walking through the castle’s halls, ramparts, and courtyards while learning about its strategic importance at the entrance to the Øresund Strait made the experience both fascinating and memorable. Crossing the Øresund Bridge into Sweden was an experience in itself. In Malmö, we explored the charming Old Town, admired the city’s mix of medieval and modern architecture, and had time to stroll through the main squares and waterfront. It was a great introduction to Sweden and left me wanting to return for a longer visit. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and did an outstanding job explaining the history, culture, and relationship between Denmark and Sweden throughout the day. The itinerary was well paced, transportation was comfortable, and there was enough free time at each stop to explore, take photos, and enjoy the surroundings. If you’re visiting Copenhagen and want to experience both Denmark and Sweden without the hassle of planning transportation, I highly recommend this tour. It offers an excellent combination of history, architecture, scenic views, and cultural insight, making it one of the best day trips available from Copenhagen.

This was one of the best day tours I took from Copenhagen. In one well-organized day, we visited Kronborg Castle, crossed into Sweden, and explored both Lund and Malmö. Kronborg Castle was a major highlight, especially with its connection to Shakespeare’s Hamlet and its strategic location along the Øresund Strait. Lund added a completely different experience, with its historic university town atmosphere, charming streets, and beautiful cathedral. Malmö was also a great stop, offering a mix of old-world charm, modern architecture, and waterfront views. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the day moving smoothly while sharing helpful historical and cultural context. Transportation was comfortable, and the itinerary offered an excellent balance of history, architecture, scenery, and free time. I highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Copenhagen who wants to experience Denmark and Sweden in one day without the stress of arranging transportation independently.

Despite the rain, our Hamlet and Sweden tour was an unforgettable experience! The tour was very well organized and provided significant information about the locations. They picked up from the cruise terminal which was excellent. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and provided great commentary on the history.

Great tour - interesting and educational. Tour guide - Steen was wonderful (other than understanding him at times due to his accent; maybe he should slow down a bit). Not a great tour for young children. I love children, but there was a very fussy and loud boy on the trip and he was very vocal the whole time.

The tour was very informative about the sites we were seeing. Beautiful views of the coast north of Copenhagen. The stops were well timed and gave us a variety of options for experiencing them.

Good experience seeing Hamlet’s castle and two towns in Sweden. I especially enjoyed visiting Lund in Sweden but I wish we had more time there. Malmö was ok, but more for shopping and a little less history/charm. One downside was the total tour length was 10 hours… much longer than the 8 hours advertised. Our tour guide was very passionate about the subject matter but this resulted in a much longer tour than what was comfortable for us.
