My guide was June very friendly and easy to get along with Very knowledgeable re history and what was going on in the present day.
June strikes a great balance between history and what's happening right now, and that kind of range makes every stop feel alive and relevant. 👍 Easy company on top of that is always a bonus!
I rated 3 stars because TripAdvisor didn't give the young man a proper vest and name tag. Simone is a 19-year-old man, and I am a petite South Asian woman in her 40s at the public garden in downtown Halifax. A Caucasian guard was following us during the tour, which was quite uncomfortable. I wish TripAdvisor took better care of its staff so they are protected while dealing with strangers. I would give Simone 5 stars, not Tripadvisor, as a young man doing this as a summer job. However, if I do that here, TripAdvisor might think I am giving them the star. Simone was excellent, patient, and knowledgeable for his age.
💛 Your concern about proper identification and visible branding for our guides is taken seriously and is exactly the kind of feedback that matters, both for our team's comfort and for the confidence of every guest on tour.
Our tour guide Jim was a lovely enthusiastic young man with a passion for history. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour.
Jim sounds like he made the experience really memorable 📚
Layton was an excellent guide for our walking tour. He provided great information, gave us time to enjoy the area and truly made our day inHalifax great. The Citadel is a must!
Great value delivered with a fun, local bias! Leighton gave us a detailed overview of the local history combined with his personal knowledge of the city and life within the community. Definitely would recommend this one!9
Only the most fun, locally-focused tours, for our guests! 🎉 We’re thrilled Leighton could share not just the history, but also what makes this city truly special to those who live in Halifax. Thanks for the awesome feedback, we're so happy to have your recommendation! Hope to see you again soon. 😊
A very interesting tour, and we learned a lot from the museums. Our guide was very sweet, although her delivery was a little disorganized. She seems to know a lot, but we often had to ask questions to get the information. The little museums and the guards and musicians wandering around were a great feature.
So happy to hear you loved the museums and the lively atmosphere! We appreciate your patience with your guide, sometimes a question is the best thing to get some information but we understand no one like to ask them all the time. We'll train our guides to keep a steady flow of commentary while taking our guests around. Thanks for exploring with us, hope we'll be able to grab that fifth star next time you're with us!
They skipped Pier 21 The Canadian museum of Immigration. They finished at the Martime museum. A little disappointed..
Thank you for Sight Seeing with us! We hope to make every Halifax walking tour a lasting memory. Unfortunately at this time, we do not offer the Museum of Immigration as part of our walking tours in Halifax. We're so glad to hear about your experience with us and truly appreciate your feedback We’ll be sure to give your next experience the extra attention it deserves.
It was very informative and the guide did a great job explanation things and gave us time to take pictures
This was ok but much shorter than advertised- less than 2 hours, advertised as 3 hours. We were told straight away by our guide it would be no more than around 2.5 hours. We had limited time at the Citadel ( and not given the ticket to go back in). We were taken to Maritime museum and shown one exhibit - we were then left to see the museum at our leisure. Not told about or walked to the Art Museum ( which when we went a day later was excellent), nor the immigration museum ( which we independently discovered was also excellent). We contacted the Halifax office to express some concern about value for money and told our feedback was very important to them and the manager would contact us on Monday. Which almost a week in hasn’t happened. So sadly we say this tour is misrepresented and not value for money
Because of our age we almost cancelled this walking tour. You offered to take us by car and we accepted. It was an amazing experience. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
