Alte Keramikwerkstatt der Generationen in Damalas Village
Chalki Village, wo Sie nach einem angenehmen Spaziergang die hundert Jahre alte Brennerei in Familienbesitz besuchen, in der immer noch der bekannte Kitron-Likör von Naxos hergestellt wird.
Olivenöl-Pressebesuch, wo Sie beobachten können, wie dieses „flüssige Gold“ einst mühsam zubereitet wurde, sowie seine köstlichen Olivenölprodukte probieren können
Die größte Siedlung auf der Insel ist ein wunderschönes Dorf amphitheatralisch auf den Ausläufern des Berges Zeus gebaut. Die ausgedehnten Äste einer imposanten alten Platane spenden den Gästen reichlich Schatten. Die bekannteste Kirche des Viertels ist Panagia Filotitissa (die Heilige Maria von Filoti). Das heutige Gebäude wurde im 18. Jahrhundert errichtet und verfügt über einen Dreiglockenturm mit exquisiten geschnitzten Details. Vor der Kirche liegt das Kirchen- und Folkloremuseum von Filoti. Dort haben die Gäste die Möglichkeit, zu sehen, wie ein traditionelles Haus war und einige der Reliquien und Ikonen der Kirche zu bewundern.

George was a wonderful guide for our private tour, very knowledgeable, attentive and kind. He kept a good pace throughout the tour and happily answered many questions about life on Naxos in general and about the sites on our tour. He was also perfectly flexible when we wanted to make a brief unplanned stop. The tour focused on charming villages in the center of the island and showcased history, local traditions and culture, economic drivers, and some shopping. I would have preferred to have a bit more free time to shop and explore the villages on my own but that would require either eliminating one of the planned stops or adding an hour to the tour time, which would be my recommendation.

Amazing private tour! Just the two of us, myself and my girlfriend and the private guide/driver George. He was very informative, patient and helpful with reviewing the local history and customs of Naxos. We were picked up and dropped off from our hotel and had several important stops along the way. We also had enough time for a quick lunch/snack before heading back to the hotel. If you want a real view of the island and its unique features, I highly recommend it. Thanks!
What a wonderful afternoon we spent with Nikos taking us around Naxos and offering such insight into the culture. We made stops at a special church, historic distillery, pottery shop, and olive oil press. Nikos also answered our many questions and was a great guide.

Our guide Nicolas was very accommodating and kind. He timed our stops to avoid the crowds. The visits to the villages gave a nice appreciation of Naxos. The Temple of Demeter and accompanying tiny museum was interesting with lovely views of the island.
Wonderful way to get to know the island and culture of Naxos, visiting local villages and learning about their way of life and craftmanship. Very picturesque Greek villages and scenery. Alex our tour guide was amazing! Very knowledgeable and engaging, Alex even got our 2 teen boys interested.
Alex, our driver picked us up on time at the front door of our hotel, and was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We got to see all kinds of interesting things, like how they make a local liquor, how they make olive oil, and how they make pottery. We'll worth the time and money for this tour.
