Der Karnak-Tempel, auch Karnak-Komplex genannt, ist ein riesiger altägyptischer Tempelkomplex in der Stadt Luxor am östlichen Ufer des Nils in Ägypten. Es ist eine der wichtigsten religiösen Stätten im alten Ägypten und gilt als der größte religiöse Komplex der Welt. Der Bau des Karnak-Tempels erstreckte sich über einen Zeitraum von etwa 2.000 Jahren, beginnend im Mittleren Reich und bis in die Zeit des Neuen Reiches. Es war der Verehrung der thebanischen Triade gewidmet, die aus dem Gott Amun, seiner Gemahlin Mut und ihrem Sohn Chonsu bestand.
Der Luxor-Tempel, auch als Luxor-Tempel bekannt, ist ein altägyptischer Tempel am Ostufer des Nils in der ägyptischen Stadt Luxor. Es handelt sich um einen der bedeutendsten und am besten erhaltenen Tempel aus dem alten Ägypten. Der Bau des Luxor-Tempels geht auf die Zeit des Neuen Reiches im alten Ägypten zurück, wobei die frühesten Bauwerke auf die Herrschaft von Amenophis III. (1390-1352 v. Chr.) datieren. Es wurde jedoch von nachfolgenden Pharaonen, darunter Tutanchamun, Ramses II. und Alexander dem Großen, weiter ausgebaut und verändert.
