This is a very enjoyable excursion. It’s a great way to get out of the city of Marrakech and spend relaxing time in the Atlas Mountains. Our guide Abdul was very knowledgeable about the history of the Ourika Valley, the Atlas Mountains and the Berber people. We took this tour on an extremely hot day and really enjoyed sitting and sipping tea in the decorative backyard of the Women’s Co-Op where we learned about how Argan Oil is made and later sitting alongside the river with our feet in the water. I recommend this tour.
My Mum and I had a great time on the Atlas Mountains half day tour, it was stand out highlight of our trip. Abdel was an excellent tour guide. We really enjoyed his story telling and learning about the history of Morocco and the local area, The itinerary was brilliantly planned, allowing us to see all the sights while still having time to soak it all in. Thank you for a great experience!
Our experience with Zan Mango Travel & Tours was exceptional from start to finish. The team made our Zanzibar vacation smooth, enjoyable, and completely stress-free. Every transfer was on time, every tour was well organized, and every member of the team treated us with kindness and professionalism. What made the difference was the personal attention we received throughout our stay. They helped us discover the best of Zanzibar, from the beautiful beaches and marine life to the rich culture and history of Stone Town. Their local knowledge and genuine hospitality made us feel welcomed like family. The guides were friendly, informative, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we had the best experience possible. Whether arranging transportation, recommending activities, or answering our questions, they were always available and eager to help. Thanks to Zan Mango Travel & Tours, our trip became more than just a holiday—it became a collection of wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. We highly recommend their services to anyone visiting Zanzibar and looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and caring tour company. Thank you for making our dream trip come true!
We absolutely loved it!! Even though it was cloudy and rained a little bit, we didn't care. It was just an exceptional tour. We absolutely love love love, Muhammad. He is so smart and knows the history of so many different aspects of Marrakesh and the oureka Valley. We appreciated having Muhammad as our tour guide. And the experiences we had. The Berber people we met were wonderful, especially Layla, who helped me select argan oil products that I was looking for. The hike was lovely. Beautiful views of the Atlas Mountains, the agricultural terraces, the homes, lanscape was unique. The Berber breakfast was very tasty. The ladies welcome and demonstration of their skills in making argan oil was very impressive! They are hard workers. Thank you again to Muhammad for stopping so that we can take photos with the dromedaries and sheep. 😊
Good half day tour yo the foothills of the Atlas mountains. Only 1hr drive and a short 30 min walk. Very enjoyable berber breakfast
This tour gave us an interesting insight into the history of the region and the beautiful scenery of the Ourika Valley. Our guide, Abdel, showed us plenty of sights while narrating the history of the area and Morocco more generally. He was very knowledgeable and charming and we learnt a lot from him in a short space of time. We stopped at interesting and scenic spots and went for a walk in the mountains. We were a small group so we had the chance to ask plenty of questions. It was a half day tour which packed in a lot and gave us a good introduction to the area. I would definitely recommend the tour and also Abdel, he was a fantastic guide.
Great trip. No hassle and laid back trip into the foothills of the High Atlas. If you want a short trip to get the flavour of the differnces between the Marakesh and the Berber communities this is recommended
A laidback and relaxed way to take a break from the hustle of the city. The weather was gorgeous with clear blue skies and our driver Mohammad did a great job keeping us entertained with historical and geographical information, even helped us buy Atay (tea) from the local grocery store :). Especially enjoyed drinking tea by the flowing river and having the Berber breakfast with the kitty family :).
The driver/guide was very knowledgeable so we felt we knew a lot more about Morocco after our trip. The walk in the mountains was quite baron and the views were not as spectacular as we thought they might be. The traditional Berber breakfast and argon oil experience was lovely.
Great communication from start and the organiser. Pick up was there early. Guide was accommodating throughout and was both knowledgeable and entertaining with his commentary. Chose this as walk wasn’t too strenuous and path was more stable.
