He was also available to transfer me from and back to the port, which made my arrival and departure completely stress-free. Having a local as my personal guide gave me the opportunity to experience Santorini in a way I never could have on my own. Makis was a very knowledgeable and local tour guide. He has deep history and expertise in the local area and is rightfully proud of his heritage. He customized the tour, showed me things he determined I would like after speaking with me. He took me to Santos Winery to watch the sunset rather than stand elbow to elbow with many other people.
