Der glitzernde Große Palast in Bangkok ist ein architektonisches Wunder, in dem einst die Könige der Chakri-Dynastie lebten.
Wat Pho ist einer der ältesten Tempel in der thailändischen Hauptstadt. Es ist außerdem einer der größten Tempelkomplexe in Bangkok und verfügt über die größte Sammlung von Buddha-Statuen in Thailand. Wat Pho behält seinen Titel als ältestes Zentrum für öffentliche Bildung des Landes, das sich auf Religion, Wissenschaft und Literatur spezialisiert hat. Die meisten der ausgestellten Buddha-Statuen wurden im Auftrag von König Rama I. aus verlassenen Tempeln in Ayutthaya und Sukhothai zum Wat Pho gebracht.
Ein Aufenthalt in der thailändischen Hauptstadt wäre nicht komplett ohne einen Besuch im Wat Arun, dem Tempel der Morgenröte, einem der berühmtesten Wahrzeichen Bangkoks.

- Denken Sie daran, dass der Große Palast und die Tempel heilige Orte sind und Sie sich angemessen kleiden müssen. Schultern und Knöchel müssen bedeckt sein (sowohl für Männer als auch für Frauen; ärmelloses Hemd mit Schalbedeckung ist ebenfalls nicht erlaubt). Keine Shorts, Leggings, zerrissene Jeans, enge Hosen, Pantoffeln (Flip-Flops) oder enthüllende Tops, sonst wirst du nicht hineingelassen.

- Unsere Touren laufen mit Regen oder Sonnenschein, da tropische Regenschauer in Thailand normalerweise nicht lange anhalten. Wenn es stark regnet, versuchen wir Schutz zu suchen und werden fortfahren, sobald das Wetter besser wird. Während der Regenzeit ist es eine gute Idee, einen Regenmantel oder Poncho mitzubringen.
