A wonderful afternoon with my first time snorkeling! I also got a taste of the glass bottom boat as it took us from the main boat to the island - husband chose to stay on the glass bottom boat and had a great time with that. The walk around the island was informative..... I didn't realise the boat house there is where they took Steve Irwin before he passed, that was quite sad as I was a huge fan. The guides were very friendly and helpful - even with beginners like myself!! Would definitely recommend!
The boat out to the low isles is quick but very rough when it’s windy, I would suggest packing seasickness medication just in case! Then, you get on a glass bottom boat to go to the low isle! The boat is very pretty and the low isle is even better! We liked that we had the freedom to snorkel on our own or join a tour on land or water! It was flexible and chill and that gave us the chance to find a sea turtle! I would recommend this to anyone but still also do an outer reef booking as well because they are very different!
We had such enjoyable experiences on this cruise from the boat ride to the Low Isles, the very informative ride on the glass bottomed boat and the tour of Low Island (where Steve Irwin died). I am not a strong swimmer so I snorkelled with a life jacket on while being towed by one of the guides which enabled me to enjoy snorkelling without worrying about not coping. We loved seeing the coral, all the fish and sea turtles. Afternoon tea including fresh fruit was served back on the main boat. All three of the guides were excellent, very informative and helpful.
Great day out. Perfect amount of time for a short trip to Port Douglas. Unfortunately it was low tide and the water was very murky however we still had a wonderful time. The guide who took us around the island was very knowledgeable and entertaining. This was a real highlight of the day which I didn't expect. We were disappointed by the guide who was meant to take us on a snorkling tour and only stayed in the water with us for around 5 minutes - not sure I'd call that a snorkling tour. She didnt seem overly interested in being there which was vastly different to the captain and other tour guide who were really engaging. Overall a great day out and we would definitely come back again - hopefully with higher tide!
Excellent. Lovely staff, lots to see. Everything explained clearly. No shoes allowed to be worn on the boat
Awesome crew and a really nice time. Relatively easy and short journey- was able to see reef sharks and turtles. Maria was an excellent guide. Highly recommend.
We had a great time out on the Low Isles. We loved having the island as a base. We saw beautiful fish and the highlight was seeing turtles. Great taster tour if you don’t have a lot of time or you’re unsure about heading out to the outer reefs.
Really enjoyed our AM tour out to low isles. 40 minutes smooth journey out to the island, approximately 30 minutes of guided snorkelling. It was worth having a guide to point out really great spots and we saw 3 turtles which was the highlight for me. Then we spent about an hour on the island where you could relax, walk around or continue snorkelling. I really valued having the island as a base. With some refreshments back on board the boat before setting off back to the marina. It’s a great taster if you’ve got less time or are unsure about a full day on the outer reef. Thanks to the crew, you were lovely.
If we had beautiful weather this trip would have been amazing! The staff and skipper were unreal. We had a very windy day so made a rough ride. If you are not used to boats or hate rocking and rolling keep an eye on the weather and make sure you change the date within the 24 hour cancellation window. If you don’t well it’s your fault. These tours will travel in basically anything as it’s their livelihood. The staff warned us and were absolutely brilliant at what they do. I had my 82 year old mum with me and they were great with her. We made the most of the crap weather had lots of laughs and had a true adventure. Still managed to see turtles, manta rays that are never normally there and a small shark.
This snorkel trip to Low Isles was an unforgettable experience! We saw so much marine life, including countless colorful fish, several sea turtles, and even a shark. The crew was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel safe and comfortable. The boat was clean and comfortable, making the whole day enjoyable from start to finish. I highly recommend this trip if you’re visiting the area!
