Reiseverlauf
Sie treffen Ihren Guide auf dem Parkplatz, erhalten dort unsere obligatorische Sicherheitseinweisung und die gesamte Ausrüstung, die Sie für dieses Abenteuer brauchen. Nach einer etwa 45-minütigen Wanderung vom Parkplatz zum Canyon nehmen Sie an einem Abseil-Workshop teil, bei dem Sie die Möglichkeit haben, einige grundlegende Seilfertigkeiten zu üben, bevor Sie den Canyon betreten. Der obere Abschnitt des Canyons kann je nach Bedingungen relativ trocken sein, sodass Sie reichlich Gelegenheit haben, das Abseilen zu üben und die Landschaft zu genießen, bevor Sie im unteren Abschnitt nass werden. Wenn Sie diesen letzten Abschnitt betreten, werden Sie mit einem unglaublichen 18-Meter-Wasserfall und einem enormen Erfolgserlebnis belohnt. Der Ausflug endet mit einer Reihe lustiger Rutschpartien und einer Wanderung zurück zu den Autos.

Oscar was a fantastic guide and we had tonnes of fun. The hike up is steep and the water is cold but don't let that stop you, it's absolutely worth the experience.

We had an amazing time doing the heart creek tour! I was not really sure what to expect but it exceeded all expectations. Our guide was absolutely amazing (she was from New Zealand with lots experience from around the world). She was very knowledgeable, professional, explained everything, so everyone was feeling confident. Her positive and happy attitude definitely added to the experience. Walking, rappelling and sliding through the canyon was lots of fun. Last 18 m rappel next to watefall was definitely highlight. Also, the hike in and out plus the canyon are very beautiful. I would recommend 100 %.

My daughter and I had a wonderful day canyoning. Jack was our tour guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and made the day a pleasure for us and the other two participants. Heart Creek Canyon is a beautiful area. There were a few challenging aspects that Jack coached us through safely. To get there and back, we prebooked a taxi from Canmore to the Heart Creek trail head, which cost about $40 each way. My daughter and I both thoroughly enjoyed our day.

What a great experience!!! I thought twice about going because I’m 59 and work out very little. But previous reviews and watching videos of the experience assured me that I had to do it! I’m so glad that I did! Our guide, Guillaume, was amazing! He explained everything very well, made us feel comfortable and confident, and gave us a few laughs along the way. I absolutely loved how this tour started with the basics and small drops. The guiding was top-notch; Guillaume was a calming presence, who inspired confidence in all his guests. By the time we reach the final abseil down a waterfall, I felt confident that I had the skills I needed.

We had 4 adults in late 50’s to early 60’s. The guide made us feel very safe and capable. We are not hard core athletes, but in decent shape - the usual achy knees and backs. A nice hike up, only two steep, but short inclines, the guide walked by one participant to help them feel more safe. He also was there to lend a hand at any awkward stepping spots. He was always helpful in tips about where to step to keep us safe. The repelling was so fun! A bit nervous at first, but once you got over the edge and felt how you were totally supported, it was fine. You do small ones at first to learn how to do it, then you end with a beautiful one beside a waterfall. Then you hike back down. It is a nice long day, totally worth it. About 5 hrs. Bring water and a power bar. We were enjoying our time so much, we never felt hungry! The worst part is putting on the wet suit, taking off the wet suit. But that is always the case. Bring a strap to hold your sunglasses on, or wrap them up in your tshirt and put them into the dry bag, after you put the wet suit on. We hiked up, then put the wetsuit on, before repelling. We had a beautiful, sunny day, so we didn’t even use our towels to dry off at the end, and one forgot extra dry shoes so just wore the wet shoes back to the hotel. This was definitely a beautiful way to spend a day in Canada. DO IT!
