It was hot but a rewarding day. Our driver/guide ALI was very friendly and very knowledgeable... we really enjoyed our day and the sceneries were spectacular. Thanks ALI and VIATOURS.
Too expensive for what you deliver. Need to improve
We understood this tour to include transport to three different sites with a guide who would tell us about each place we visited—and we thought this is what we’d paid for. In fact, our driver had very little to say and may not actually even have spoken much English; one member of our party is Tunisian so he did all the talking. We were relieved upon arriving at the Chebika oasis to find a very chatty guide who had lots to tell us as we hiked the trail, but then we learned at the end of our visit that we were expected to pay him in cash, which we’d brought very little of and had spent some of on the stands of souvenirs that are all over the site. This threw the rest of our tour into confusion as we were concerned we wouldn’t have enough money for two more guides, and also annoyed because what was the $60/person for? At Mides we were again asked to pay for a guide, so we skipped it. Our driver ultimately took us to another small oasis spot where we could get our feet wet and stand under a waterfall. Overall, neither oasis was particularly thrilling, tho the first was more picturesque. Each was very small—the photos suggest a much grander setting, maybe in the fall it’s more dramatic. We were glad to have gotten out and seen some of the desert, but on the whole this tour was a disappointment.
The Tunisian desert is one of the most beautiful and fascinating regions: palm trees, waterfalls, sunset and sand dunes.
Great experience. Special mention for our driver who picked us up at the indicated location point. He drove us to the various sites all afternoon. He is super nice and gives good advice. He knows everything about palm groves, it's very interesting. The descent into the canyon of Mides is sporty, provide good shoes but the scenery is incredible! To do if you are in the south.
We spent a nice afternoon with this excursion, especially to the canyon of Mides, which is really worth it. The driver was punctual and friendly, the price is reasonable, I recommend! The guide is optional in Chebika and Tameghza, but I advise you to take it to Mides.
Punctual driver guide, professional and very pleasant. He made this day a unique moment that will be remembered. Beautiful landscapes commented with great clarity and with the will to share with us the love of the region. The excursion is fully in line with the programme announced and punctuated by perfect driving on the part of our driver. We recommend Whamsa very warmly. He will forgive us if his name is not spelled correctly.
Highly recommended 💯💯💯💯💯💯 punctuality and professionalism at the top
We had booked a second trip with another travel agency, additionally to this one, so we were able to compare: This trip was so so much better than the other one. 5 star! - Amazing guide: Good English & French, introduced us to cultural music, gave us facts about culture & history, super kind, organised and flexible (when it came to timing, toilet breaks and other things regarding the toddler we had with us) - Spotless & comfy new car (7-seater, 6 months old only, great feathering) - Water provided - Definitely toddler friendly if you don’t mind carrying them for a little bit of the hike One minor thing however: I recommend asking for your guide‘s phone number in advance and communicate the exact time you’d like to be picked up at. They can be flexible but also if you need them to be on time and want to avoid waiting around, this can be communicated beforehand.
Wissam introduced us to 3 beautiful oases and Nono's Berber pizza. A great morning in his company, he is very organized listening and knows everything! The places are very beautiful and the landscapes splendid.
