Das Bab Abi al-Jounoud oder Bab Bou Jeloud ist ein reich verziertes Stadttor in Fes el Bali, der Altstadt von Fes, Marokko. Die heutigen Tordaten wurden 1913 von der französischen Kolonialverwaltung als großer Eingang zur Altstadt erbaut.

Es wird vor Ort angenommen, dass fünf Pilgerfahrten nach Moulay Idriss während des Moussem einem Hadsch nach Mekka entsprechen.
Die Universität von al-Qarawiyyin, auch Al-Karaouine oder Al Quaraouiyine geschrieben, ist eine Universität in Fes, Marokko. Es wurde 859 von Fatima al-Fihri als Moschee gegründet und wurde später zu einem der führenden spirituellen und pädagogischen Zentren der historischen muslimischen Welt.

If you are visiting the Medina in Fes, we recommend that you book a tour with Adil! From the moment we arrived, he treated us like family. As a 5th generation local, he guided us through the maze of the Medina alleys with ease and confidence. He provided plenty of suggestions and allowed us to choose our personal itinerary where he then showed us many local artisans and shared the background of their culture. One highlight was an amazing street food lunch where we got to experience authentic local scene we never would have found on our own. Adil went above and beyond with excellent restaurant recommendations and he personally escorted us to and from our riad, making us feel safe, welcomed, and completely taken care of throughout our stay. His kindness, professionalism, and hospitality made our experience unforgettable. By the end of the trip, Adil felt more like a friend than a guide. We cannot recommend him highly enough to anyone visiting Fes!

We had booked a half-day tour of the medina. The organization, communication with the agency and pickup from our riad worked perfectly. Unfortunately it quickly turned out that our guide had no interest in telling us much about Fes. He only answered our questions, which were rather annoying to him and we had the impression that the tour should be more of a shopping tour than a cultural tour. Since we were not interested in a shopping tour and the guide was unsympathetic to us, the tour was already finished after 2.5 instead of 4 hours. For 40€ per person, absolutely overpriced. Too bad about the money!

Experience with a local, gave us an introduction to the Medina of Fez and the most important points to see. He had us stop by the local craft shops, the tannery and the Koranic school. Worth the visit
