Vesuv, der noch aktive Vulkan, der im Jahr 79 n. Chr. entstand. zerstörte das antike Pompeji. Der Vesuv hat seinen Charme und ist einen Besuch wert. Täglich ist ein Gruppentransfer ab Pompeji möglich, der am Eingang zum Vesuv-Krater (1000 m Höhe) ankommt. Von dort aus können Sie mit der Eintrittskarte, die Ihnen vor der Abfahrt ausgehändigt wird, den etwa 300 m langen Aufstieg begehen. um den höchsten Punkt des Vulkans zu erreichen und sowohl die atemberaubende Landschaft als auch das Innere des Kraters zu bewundern. Der Besuch ist kostenlos. Zur vereinbarten Zeit treffen wir uns am Ankunftsort, um nach Pompeji zurückzukehren. Ein wirklich einzigartiges Erlebnis!! Auf dem Rückweg gibt es weitere Stopps, an denen Sie Zeit haben, Fotos aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln zu machen. We arrived in good time for a 3pm departure as printed on the voucher to be told the buses had departed at 1.30pm so we missed the trip. We were promised a refund as there was no mention anywhere in the documentation of the earlier departure. We booked another trip for the following day but unfortunately conditions were not as good the next day on Vesuvius so there were no views from the top.

The actual top of Vesuvius was incredible but paying all that money for the bus ride there... hmmmmm not sure about that. Plus, when I bought the tickets it said anyone under 18 pays the child price. I put my son's birthdate in and paid for 2 adult tickets and 1 child. When we got to the tour they gave us an upcharge of 20 Euros because they said I paid the incorrect amount for my son. Well, I paid what was on the Viator website! So we paid it but that was annoying. So overall, you're asking me to rate the tour which was basically just a bus ride. We had to hike up the volcano side on our own, no guide. Just told to meet back at the bus at a certain time. So this "Tour" is really bus fare and entry fee to the volcano, which I was upcharged for on the day of.

Great value trip. Minibus from central Pompeii to the coach park then a 45 minute (hard but well worth it) to the crater for excellent views.

We were very excited to see Mt Vesuvius. Unfortunately due to rain and fog the tour was canceled. We understand the weather can't be controlled. But they took 30 min to tell us that we were not going. Unfortunately by that time we were out of options. Thank you
