Wir holen Sie in Ihrem Hotel in Guatemala-Stadt ab und fahren dann durch die Stadt auf dem Weg zum Departamento Sacatepequez, wo Antigua Guatemala-Stadt liegt. Ist eine römisch-katholische Kirche in Antigua Guatemala. Die Kathedrale wurde 1680 wieder aufgebaut und geweiht. 1743 war die Kathedrale eine der größten in Mittelamerika. Der Palast der Generalkapitäne oder Königspalast ist ein Kolonialgebäude in der Stadt Antigua Guatemala. Es beherbergt unter anderem die Büros des guatemaltekischen Instituts für Tourismus, der Tourismusgilde von Antigua, der Nationalen Zivilpolizei und der Abteilungsregierung.

Dieser safrangelbe Bogen, der über den gepflasterten Straßen und vor dem riesigen Volcán de Agua steht, wurde zum Symbol von Antigua und zum zentralen Bild auf den meisten Postkarten.
Diese schöne gelbe Kirche ist das beste Beispiel barocker guatemaltekischer Architektur. Die Kirche aus dem 18. Jahrhundert ist eine der schönsten in Antigua Guatemala. Es ist umgeben von einem wunderschönen Garten, Kunsthandwerksgeschäften und großartigen Cafés, die authentischen „Antigüeño“-Kaffee (Kaffee aus Antigua Guatemala) mit Schokoladennoten aufgrund seines Röstverfahrens anbieten. Wenn Sie die Kirche betreten möchten, werden Sie gebeten, keine Shorts und ärmellose Hemden zu tragen, und für Frauen sind keine Miniröcke erlaubt.
Die Geschichte der Kirche El Carmen geht auf das Jahr 1683 zurück, als der Stadtrat unter der Berufung der Muttergottes von Carmen die Genehmigung für den Bau eines Tempels erteilte. Diese Kirche wurde nach den Erdbeben von 1717, 1728 und 1773 schwer beschädigt. Schließlich wurde das Gebäude zerstört, sodass es aufgegeben werden musste.

We wanted to feedback about our recent tour in Antigua Guatemala on Saturday April 27, 2024, half day - private tour. This was a time sensitive tour as we had to return to our cruise ship, SilverSea (Silver Nova) by 4pm. As seasoned travelers who value professional guided tours, this experience was uniquely disappointing and we believe specific instances from our tour will illustrate why improvements are necessary. Ignoring Client Preferences: We had specific ideas about where we wanted to eat and what we wanted to see, but our guide dismissed these requests. Despite multiple attempts to direct him to our chosen shopping destinations, he insisted on taking us to another location, which then forced us to walk to our desired shopping destination. Obtrusive Behavior: At each site, he positioned himself in front of us, blocking views while pointing out mundane objects without providing any historical context or educational value. His commentary was often repetitive, pointing out the obvious, such as "look, this building is very old, very old", which did not enhance our understanding of the locations visited. Lack of Privacy: The guide's presence was overbearing. For instance, in the restaurant at the Porta Hotel, he chose to sit continuously within our view, observing us as we ate, which was highly uncomfortable. His subsequent behavior was equally unprofessional; he took tourist-like photos in the lobby, which delayed us further as he lost track of where he had parked the car. Disregard for Time Management: After the meal, when it was clear we were pressed for time, the guide was unable to locate the car promptly, insisting it was "just around the corner." This led us to decide to walk to our next destination out of necessity, not preference—a choice he seemed to misunderstand as a casual decision rather than a frustration-driven necessity. These specific examples reflect a broader issue of professionalism and sensitivity to our needs, which were not met during our tour. The guide’s knowledge was inadequate, in addition his delivery and conduct were neither professional nor considerate. Furthermore, we would like to reiterate our appreciation for the driver, who was both polite and efficient, contrasting sharply with our experience of the guide. We have attached a photo of the guide for your reference, as we do not recall his name. We trust that you will address these issues promptly to prevent future clients from having similar experiences. The driver and the guide were very nice and very knowledgeable The city itself was very quaint and the volcanoes were great to see. The drive there is quite bumpy and lots of traffic both ways.

Antigua was amazing. The combination of colonial architecture, blossomed jacarandas and volcanic scenery was spectacular. Eduardo, my guide, provided detailed information of the city history and showed me the best spots. Highly recommend it.

This tour was so much fun that I extended it to a full day tour. I met some marvelous folks from around the globe. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I learned a lot of history about Antigua. It's a beautiful town to wonder around. The group also enjoyed a lunch while in town and the food was amazing. Don't hesitate, just book this tour!
