Unser halbtägiger Landausflug vom Hafen Livorno nach Pisa ist perfekt für Kreuzfahrtpassagiere, die einen kurzen, einfachen Tourentag mit minimalem Fahraufwand wünschen. Am Schiefen Turm haben Sie ausreichend Zeit, um Fotos zu machen und auf Wunsch sogar einige der Monumente zu betreten oder den Turm zu besteigen. Pisa ist eine hübsche Stadt (die ihr selten zugeschrieben wird) mit vielen architektonischen Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Sie gemeinsam mit Ihrem englischsprachigen Fahrer entdecken werden, zusammen mit einigen ausgewählten Schätzen der Stadt, wie zum Beispiel „Tuttomondo“ von Keith Haring „Wandbild und die charmante Straße von Borgo Stretto mit ihrer fabelhaften Bäckerei, wo Sie auf der Terrasse entspannen und ein Gebäck und ein Getränk genießen können. Nach einer etwa vierzigminütigen Fahrt nach Pisa setzt Sie Ihr Fahrer direkt am Campo dei Miracoli ab und erspart Ihnen so zwanzig Minuten Fußweg von der Stelle, an der die Reisebusse parken müssen. Sie haben 45 Minuten Zeit, um den Campo dei Miracoli zu besichtigen (der Eintritt zum Campus und die Besichtigung der Monumente von außen ist kostenlos). Neben dem Schiefen Turm befinden sich auf dem Feld der Wunder die Kathedrale, das Baptisterium und der monumentale Friedhof. Wenn Sie beabsichtigen, eines der Monumente zu betreten oder den Schiefen Turm zu besteigen, bitten wir Sie, den Zeitpunkt mit uns abzustimmen, um keine Probleme mit dem Tagesablauf zu verursachen.
In dieser historischen, schmalen Straße unweit des Schiefen Turms finden Sie eine Vielzahl von Geschäften, vor allem aber die Pasticceria Salza. Diese legendäre Bäckerei platzt aus allen Nähten mit herrlichem Gebäck, Kuchen, Bonbons und Sandwiches. Im Inneren erinnert die prächtige Umgebung an eine vergangene Zeit. Draußen gibt es eine große Terrasse, auf der Sie Ihre süßen Leckereien und eine Erfrischung all'aperto genießen können. Wenn Sie lieber einkaufen als essen gehen, können wir Borgo Stretto durch Corso Italia, Pisas Haupteinkaufsstraße, ersetzen.
Das Tuttomondo-Wandgemälde in Pisa entstand dank einer zufälligen Begegnung auf den Straßen von New York, als sich zufällig die Wege eines Studenten der Universität Pisa und Keith Haring kreuzten. Das Werk entstand 1989 an einer Außenwand des Pfarrhauses der Kirche Sant’Antonio Abate. Haring verwendete für dieses Wandgemälde besonders leuchtende Farben, eines der wenigen, das von Anfang an als dauerhaftes Werk konzipiert war. Das Thema ist Harmonie und Frieden in der Welt, veranschaulicht durch dreißig von Harings klassischen Figuren, die schwarz umrandet sind. Haring betrachtete Tuttomondo als eines seiner wichtigsten Projekte. Er starb ein Jahr nach der Enthüllung.
Santa Maria della Spina liegt am Ufer des Flusses Arno und ist eine kleine, einzigartige Kirche im pisanischen Gotikstil. 1230 erbaut und etwa hundert Jahre später erweitert. Der Name der Kirche stammt von einer Reliquie, die einst in der Kirche aufbewahrt wurde; einer der Dornen aus der Dornenkrone, die Christus zum Zeitpunkt seiner Kreuzigung auf den Kopf gesetzt wurde – „spina“ bedeutet auf Italienisch „Dorn“.
Wenn Sie dachten, der Schiefe Turm sei der einzige denkmalgeschützte Glockenturm in Pisa, denken Sie noch einmal darüber nach! Auch der Glockenturm der Kirche San Michele degli Scalzi neigt sich merklich, aber Touristen, die hierher strömen, um alberne Fotos zu machen, werden Sie nicht finden. Die Kirche wurde im romanischen Stil erbaut und stammt aus dem 12. Jahrhundert.
Die historischen Viertel von Pisa sind sehr schön, insbesondere die Gegend am Fluss Arno. Nach einer kurzen malerischen Fahrt (10 Min.) am Flussufer entlang kehren wir zum Hafen zurück (40 Min.).

Nikki was amazing. Worth every penny. Pisa and Luka had shopping and photo opportunities everywhere. Best part of our cruise.
Nikki was an amazing guide. From the minute she picked us up from the port, she was so friendly, kind, and accommodating. She had a very nice van big enough for our family of 5. She was very knowledgeable about the local area. Turning the corner to see the tower of Pisa was something l’ll never forget. She helped us secure our tickets to climb the tower, gave us plenty of time and space to explore, shop, eat etc. The entire experience felt very local, relaxed, informative, and fun. After booking,I received an email if we could change our time to the afternoon. I replied no due to time constraint, and they said it was fine and Nikki would be our tour guide. Nikki was nice(offered us water) and prompt in picking us up. She took some pictures of us which most of our previous private tour guides did. She gave little info about Pisa so that was a little disappointing. I felt it was more of a private driver than a private tour. She pretty much dropped us off at the locations and said to meet her back at said time. Not worth the money I paid.
Lilimarie, Your service felt "more like a private driver than a private tour" because that's exactly what it is: a shore excursion with a private driver. This is explained in a number of places, so it seems to me you didn't read the provided information thoroughly enough. I'll list what you apparently missed here, with appearances of the words "driver" or "English-speaking driver" in caps for emphasis. In the "Overview" section it states, "Pisa is a handsome city with many points of architectural interest, and you'll discover those together with your ENGLISH-SPEAKING DRIVER." In the "What's Included" section, the first point is "ENGLISH-SPEAKING DRIVER who will give commentaries while traveling (cannot accompany you on foot)." The fact that the driver can't accompany you on foot should indicate that they will not be acting as a guide. In the "What to Expect" section, it says, "After about a forty-minute drive to Pisa, your DRIVER will drop you off right at the Campo dei Miracoli..." It's implicit in the fact that you will be dropped off at the Campo dei Miracoli that the driver is not a guide. I'd also like to point out that in no place do we mention having a licensed guide or a guided tour. If you expected this service to be the same as others for which you had a licensed tour guide, I have to say it's because you assumed something you shouldn't have, which could have been avoided by reading through the details. Nikki was kind and professional. She was punctual, a great driver and flexible when asked to change our tour time a couple weeks in advance. The only reason I am giving it a 3 star is because according to the tour we should have had a couple more stops that did not happen.
Alysia, Happy to hear you enjoyed Nikki. Regarding the "couple" of stops that did not happen, would you be so kind as to specify those? Nikki advised me that only one stop was missed, Piazza dei Cavalieri, because the road was closed. Road closures are beyond the driver's control. I really don't see how Nikki can be blamed for this. All other stops on the itinerary were completed, despite the fact that a street market made it necessary for Nikki to figure out a detour to get you to the church of San Michele degli Scalzi. In the end, you got a bonus panoramic tour of the city and were able to view the church; you even visited the market and purchased some biscotti. Interesting that you failed to mention these extras in your review. Considering also that Nikki accommodated your request to change the tour from the morning to the afternoon, I really don't understand your 3-star rating, which seems more deserved by the city of Pisa than Nicoletta. Nikki knocked herself out to work around obstacles as much as they could be worked around. It's very disheartening to learn that all her efforts went so underappreciated.
