Steigen Sie an vier zentralen Treffpunkten in unseren klimatisierten, modernen Bus und reisen Sie in die Region Peloponnes. Eine Autostunde von Athen entfernt, in der Gegend von Peloponnes, finden Sie den berühmten Kanal von Korinth. Der Kanal von Korinth ist ein Kanal, der den Golf von Korinth mit dem Saronischen Golf in der Ägäis verbindet. Es durchschneidet die schmale Landenge von Korinth und trennt den Peloponnes vom griechischen Festland, wodurch die ehemalige Halbinsel praktisch zu einer Insel wird. Der Kanal erhöhte den Status von Piräus als wichtiger Mittelmeerhafen. Es handelte sich um ein Projekt, das sich über viele Jahrhunderte erstreckte. Es wurde von einem Herrscher des antiken Korinth konzipiert, vom römischen Kaiser Nero begonnen und im 19. Jahrhundert von den Franzosen vollendet. Der durch feste Fels gehauene Kanal ist mehr als 6 km lang und 23 m breit, seine vertikalen Seiten ragen 90 m über das Wasser. Wir halten 45 Minuten am Kanal. In der Nähe des Kanals gibt es Möglichkeiten für Erfrischungen, Snacks und öffentliche Toiletten.
Dann fahren wir zum alten Corith, einer sehr wichtigen Stadt aus der antiken & römischen Zeit. (30 Minuten Fahrt). Korinth ist für seinen Reichtum und seine Architektur bekannt und war der Ort, an dem Griechenland endgültig gegen Rom auftrat. Nach der Niederlage ebneten die Römer die Stadt ein und bauten sie als römische Siedlung mit Theatern, einem Forum und kaiserlichen Tempeln wieder auf. Nur der antike Tempel des Apollon blieb verschont. Korinth war die Heimat des berühmten Jason der Argonauten, des Stehlens des Goldenen Vlieses, Pausanias, römischer Reisender und des heiligen Paulus, der hier das Evangelium Christi lehrte. Folgen Sie ihren Spuren und erleben Sie die Vergangenheit mit unserer Virtual Reality-Anwendung, die Sie in der Arhäologischen Stätte verwenden werden, während Sie die faszinierende Geschichte mit unserem Audioguide hören. Auf dem Rückweg nach Athen fahren wir entlang der wunderschönen Küstenstraße und machen einen Fotostopp am antiken Hafen von Kechries. In der Antike war Kenchreai einer der beiden Häfen des im Landesinneren gelegenen Stadtstaates Korinth. Während Kenchreai die östlichen Handelsrouten über den Saronischen Golf bediente, diente Lechaion am Korinthischen Golf den Handelsrouten, die nach Westen nach Italien und in den Rest Europas führten. (30 Minuten Fahrt). Wir halten 10 Minuten lang an, um Fotos zu machen. Anschließend kehren wir nach Athen zurück, um an einem unserer vier Abgabepunkte bequem von Bord zu gehen. (1 Stunde Fahrt).

This was a fantastic tour. It was significantly less to have the audio tour and earbuds at ancient Corinth, and we could go at our own pace. Our tour guide kept everyone on track at each of the 4 stops, and apart from the audio at the Corinth ruins, did keep us informed about what each site was about.
Thank you to Eva and Dimitri for the wonderful day of discovery. The stop at the canal was just perfect! Just the right duration, and it was truly impressive! I fell in love with ancient Corinth and Acrocorinth as well! The audio guide with the device allowing us to see the state of the places in the past is a wow! But the headphones worked less well. Bring your own (with a wire). Eva shared beautiful Very interesting information!

The Google pin was in the wrong spot for pick up. Wife and I stood in spot for 45 minutes. Come to find out the pick up spot was in front of our hotel. Contacted visitor and they refused to refund money for their mistake.
I would never recommend booking a trip through this company. We (my pregnant wife and I) showed up to the pick up location, which they have listed as the 4th stop, 10 minutes early. At no point did we see a bus stop, nor did any tour guide get out of any bus to ask if we were there for this specific tour. You’d think, since we are tourist and English speaking, they would go above and beyond to make sure you get to where you need to go. We ended up waiting 20 minutes to call to then be told they had already picked up people from that spot and didn’t have time to turn around. They left us, tourists, in the middle of Athens! They I tried dealing with customer service, which is absolutely lacking, and they were no help at all and had to contact multiple people just to get my refund. They offered to book us the next day but that was the day we were leaving and then tried to offer us a tour that is completely different from what we wanted. I just wanted a simple refund because of all the hassle they put us through. After letting them know I will leave a review of my experience, I received an unprofessional and snarky response by the individual I tried working with from the tour company. We ended up taking a train to ancient Corinth ourselves and getting there and had a wonderful time, no thanks to this tour. I recommend you try doing the same, it is cheaper and you get more flexibility for what you want to do while there. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! They will leave you stranded and try to keep your money.
8 hours is NOT A HALF DAY! spent hours up a mountain and on a deserted beach, vtr guide device was a mobile, impossible to view in the sun.
It was everything they claimed it would be, the guide was helpful and informative, the driver drove safely, and they kept to the schedule. Note that Athens traffic makes timing somewhat uncertain. Our tour lasted seven hours from pickup to dropoff.
Excellent day. Just enough time at the canal. Better than other trips. Great guide, small group no thieves on the bus like the other two tours we did.
Nice tour, but a bit too long - planned to be there for 6 hours, but it took more than 8 which might cause some issues in case of other plans (luckily it did not affect us). The canal, actually, is not the most impressive thing, as the Corinth city is more impressive and the castle ruins at the top of the mountain are more impressive. Would suggest to have more time to check them and not visit the beach/ancient port site as it was not that impressive.
Beautiful excursion guide very helpful scenic route , to be recommended, considering that the total time exceeds the hours scheduled for traffic
