Pla de Bages ist eine privilegierte Region, umgeben von den mythischen Bergen von Montserrat und Castelltellat, Sant Llorenç del Munt und Obac Naturpark. Darüber hinaus hat diese katalanische Zone eine große Weintradition, ist sogar eine kleine Region, sie ist Erbe der großen Weintraditionen in Zentral-Katalonien. Olivenöl ist ein Grundelement der mediterranen Ernährung , wo die meisten Mahlzeiten mit einer Flasche Olivenöl auf der Seite serviert werden. Aus diesem Grund ist diese Erfahrung eine Möglichkeit, in die katalanische Kultur einzutauchen.

Sie werden die fantastische Form des magischen Berges von Montserrat vom Auto aus sehen, wenn Sie zum Weingut gehen. Sobald Sie im Weingut angekommen sind, werden Sie den alten und den neuen Keller entdecken.
Wir werden ein Familienunternehmen besuchen, ein Bio-Weingut, das 1885 begann, seine eigenen Weinberge zu bewirtschaften und in der Weinwelt zu arbeiten. Heutzutage ist es die fünfte Generation, die sich besonders um die Weinberge kümmert und sich bemüht, ihren Produkten maximale Qualität zu verleihen. Zu dieser Erfahrung gehört auch ein Besuch des Weinguts, bei dem Sie ein typisch katalanisches Bauernhaus besuchen und in seiner einzigartigen Umgebung durch die Bio-Weinberge schlendern können. Wir werden die lokalen Sorten wie Weißer Picapoll, Sumoll, Mandó und Roter Picapoll kennenlernen, die Produktionsanlage und den Fassraum erkunden und schließlich zwei Weine probieren, die uns alles über die begleiteten Weine erklären durch eine Vorspeise. Nach unserer Weinprobe lernen wir alles über Olivenöl.
Olivenöl ist ein Grundelement der mediterranen Ernährung, bei der die meisten Mahlzeiten mit einer Olivenölflasche serviert werden. Aus diesem Grund ist diese Erfahrung eine Möglichkeit, in die katalanische Kultur einzutauchen. Diese Erfahrung zeigt Ihnen die großartige Welt dieses flüssigen Goldes und gleichzeitig genießen Sie die wunderschöne Landschaft von Vall d'Hortons. Bei einem Spaziergang entlang der tausendjährigen Bio-Olivenhaine genießen Sie die Ruhe der Landschaft mit der fantastischen Aussicht auf die Montserrat-Berge. Wenn Sie den Workshop besuchen, in dem dieses Öl hergestellt wird, erfahren Sie, wie der Prozess abläuft, und schließlich können Sie mit typischen und biologischen katalanischen Produkten aus Vall d'Hortons wie Käse, Honig und Aufschnitt Fleisch genießen und Öl probieren.

What a beautiful day! We were picked up at our hotel PROMPTLY by David… he drove us to an AMAZING niche Olive Oil plantation. Operated the most wonderful and knowledgeable team. THE OIL was exquisite. Of course we had to buy a bunch. 😘 Next, we travel to another small niche winery… And all we can say is …. OMG. The wine was divine, from the whites, reds, sparkling and to the fabulous aged. They also hold local events here… Weddings, teambuilding, private party and tapas and a wine bar on the weekends for locals …events… With four rooms to choose from, large to intimate the aesthetics were impressive . it’s owned by the same family for generations and the unique thing is that they have kept tools, bottles barrels and yes animal skins that wine was stored in. Very educational . Needless to say several hundred dollars later… and several cases later heading to the states. Thank goodness they ship. David’s driving was immaculate, safe and a beautiful journey we were taken back to our hotel. A memory we soon will not forget.

We had a wonderful time on this tour; thank you, Melanie! The tour was private, just GF and I, in a private car. Melanie was wonderful and knowledgable and the food and wine were delicious and seemed authentic. The locations were carefully selected and took us to some off the beaten path places. The tours we received were extensive and thorough; the guides were happy to answer our many questions. The olive oil and chocolate we bought are amazing. If you have an opportunity to work with Melanie and her company, do it! I would repeat this exact same tour in a heartbeat.

Loved this tour! Fantastic wat to end our trip! We have never done an olive oil tasting before and this was very interesting and fun. The winery was beautiful and I enjoyed every wine we tasted! I highly recommend this tour!

We had an amazing time on our Barcelona Discovery Tour! Definitely recommend the wine/olive oil tour and tour company. The communication setting up the tour was so easy. Melanie came to pick us up at our hotel and we drove through the beautiful Catalan region. It was a foggy day, but we were still able to see a little bit of Montserrat from the distance. Our first stop was a beautiful winery, where we had a private tour with Marisola. We learned about the history of the winery and their wine making process (both old and new). We had a tasting of some great wines and an impressive spread including cheese, meat, bread, tomato, pate, chocolate, etc to accompany our wines in one of the historic stone houses. The wines and the experience were great! One of the best vineyard tours we've been on. The wines were really good and we ended up buying some to take home. Our second stop was the olive oil tasting and tour. We had a private tasting and tour with Aena. We learned about the history of the olive orchard, what to look for in tasting, did a tasting, and then walked around the beautiful orchard. It was an awesome and new experience as we never did a olive oil tasting before. The olive oil was great and we ended up buying olive oil and chocolate for gifts. It was an awesome day! Thanks to Melanie, we could not have been more happy with our tour. Barcelona Discovery does an awesome job of partnering with great wineries, olive orchards, and different experiences. We had such a great time. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Spain!
