Die Tour beginnt mit einer Fahrt zum Uçhisar Panorama, das für seine beeindruckende Aussicht auf die umliegenden geschmückten Täler und die kappadokischen Feenkamine bekannt ist.
Die unterirdische Stadt Derinkuyu, eine der beeindruckendsten unterirdischen Städte der Welt. Diese antike Stadt wurde im 8. und 7. Jahrhundert v. Chr. erbaut und in Vulkangestein gehauen. Es ist ein beeindruckender Anblick, wie die Menschen in dieser unterirdischen Stadt lebten, komplett mit Lüftungsschächten, Brunnen und Küchen.
Das Dorf Çavuşin, in dem sich zwei alte Kirchen befinden, die Kirche des Heiligen Johannes des Täufers und die Kirche des Heiligen Johannes des Täufers. Diese Kirchen stammen aus dem 5. Jahrhundert und verfügen über beeindruckende Fresken, die über die Jahrhunderte erhalten geblieben sind.
Avanos, ein Töpferdorf, in dem lokale Handwerker atemberaubende Keramiken von Hand herstellen, wobei sie verschiedene Techniken anwenden, die über Generationen weitergegeben wurden. Wir werden hier auch zu Mittag essen.
Paşabağ ist unsere nächste Station, eine weitere Region, die für ihre einzigartige Landschaft mit seltsamen Felsformationen bekannt ist, die als „pilzförmige“ Feenkamine bekannt sind. Diese Gegend ist auch für ihren Wein bekannt, und wir haben die Möglichkeit, einige lokale Sorten zu probieren.
Zuletzt besuchen wir das Göreme Open Air Museum, ein UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe, das eine beeindruckende Sammlung antiker Höhlenkirchen und Klöster mit ihren einzigartigen Fresken und Architekturen bietet.

Honestly this was a weird tour. I’d say the guide was very informed and gave good information but he kept bringing us to places to get sold things. 1. We got dropped in a jewelry store to get a hard sell on some overpriced jewelry, 2. Next to a store to ‘show us the local food’ but it’s honestly just again someone selling you a bunch of stuff. If you do go skip lunch or at least wait until you go to a place where you can get lunch on your own. They took us to get lunch and the place was wayyy over priced, gross food and they put their food on our check with some weird discounts but it still ended up costing us more then our own food, if they told us up front the arrangement, fine but they didn’t and it was just so shady. We ended up cutting the tour short and skipping Avanos which we were bummed about but I didn’t want to get sold another overpriced thing or schemed again so we decided to go back to our hotel and swim instead. Otherwise the landmarks, the information and the tour itself was great, they just need to stick to that and stop trying to hustle so much, I felt like I was back in Bangkok but at least in Bangkok things were reasonably priced and you knew what you were getting into.
Sadly our driver never arrived so we wasted an hour waiting and our only day in Cappadocia. Booking agent tried to contact supplier with no luck. Maybe a check in your suppliers might be an idea. ☹️

We booked this tour through Marriott and it was phenomenal!! Inci was a great tour guide. Lots of helpful information. She also gave us shortcuts and advice to save some steps in the heat and take some great photos. She was flexible to adjust the itinerary for our desires. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful private guide “Mert” A great driver with comfy aircon van and cool drinks included. Mert guided us thru all the attractions and provided excellent information along the way. Underground city Kaymakli was the highlight also monk valley with all the fairy chimneys. Plenty of small stops also for pottery and silk and wool carpet making. A wonderful day with the family. We took the Rose Valley and Red Vally sunset hiking tour which I believe is the only truly hiking tour of this kind! It was a 3-4 hours going through the valley and truly incredible experience. Our guide Samet is very experienced, attentive, helpful and patient. He also has a great sense of joy and fun! Hiking is challenging at points but never impossible you ended up feeling very confident and accomplished!
