Montserrat ist ein Berggipfelkloster, das auf einem ungewöhnlichen Felsenberg liegt. Es ist der höchste Punkt der katalanischen Tiefebene. Das Kloster Montserrat beherbergt „la Moreneta“, auch Schwarze Madonna genannt. Die Legende besagt, dass die Benediktinermönche die Statue fanden und sie nicht bewegen konnten, um ihr Kloster zu bauen, also beschlossen sie, sie um die Statue herum zu errichten. Montserrat wurde 1987 zum Nationalpark erklärt. Heutzutage ist es ein Wallfahrtsort für Menschen auf der ganzen Welt. Die Standseilbahn bietet einen Blick auf das Kloster sowie atemberaubende Ausblicke von den Pyrenäen. Auf dem Gipfel können Sie auch Aula de Natura (Naturzentrum) besuchen, wo Sie etwas über die Geschichte, Flora und Fauna des Berges erfahren.

Excellent service, very friendly MK and Aaron and helped with absolutely everything. Very happy!!
Aaron was fantastic! He made the whole trip so easy and hands off. When my four year-old got tired on the long walk, he offered to carry her on his shoulders for a bit. He even stopped in the gift shop to read her a story while I purchased my items. He was so kind and knowledgeable. This was a great tour for adults and for kids! We learned a lot and saw everything in a great amount of time. I’m so glad we booked and I would definitely book him again!

Vincenzo was an excellent guide. His knowledge of Catalonia and Monserrat is extensive. The tour included a driver and Vincenzo both of which were excellent. My son had a broken foot with limited mobility and both Vincenzo and the driver were very helpful. Montserrat is a very special place. Do not miss it if you are in Barcelona. I highly recommend this tour and highly recommend Vincenzo.

This was a wonderful tour with a comfortable bus and 3 very knowledgeable guides. Our main guide was Francesco who was just as charming as could be. Only downside was the cloudiness, but it was still worth the trip.

We had a private tour for a half day - it was great to have a pick up at the apartment. The driver and tour guide were great. We were able to park right near the restaurant and Monestary.
