Very well organised,all the crew were super friendly whilst still being professional. We knew that getting out to the reef can be choppy and took our Kwells before boarding. The crew advised everyone that they had seasick pills available. Some chose to ignore that advice and paid the price. Despite the very rough waters out to Thetford reef, once there we had 2 hours of snorkeling. A fantastic location with the benefits of experienced marine biologist pointing out various aspects. They were also super helpful to those less capable swimmers. Noone was left behind so there's a bonus! Easy to recommend.

Locally owned and operated. Great experience. We saw so many fish and coral. The optional marine biology presentation before the tour is also great. Great guides. We loved Seb and Mike. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend.

Outstanding snorkeling experience! This business was white glove treatment it seemed. Very clean boat very educated staff who not only knew how to keep us safe, but also was able to give us reef and ecological information, many of them were trained biologist. The level of perks, such as anti-nausea, medication, water, the cleanliness of the wet suits and snorkels, the snacks they offered really made a day where the weather wasn’t good, a very excellent experience!! Special shout out to Kiki, Cam, Sebastian, Lawrence, and I’m sorry I can’t remember the captain’s name, but he was also very personable, and very good at his job!! Highly recommend!!!

What a great day!! Such a great tour to do. We had plenty of time to snorkel, boat ride was great and so were the snacks. The staff were all informative with regards to what we had to do and with the marine life. Loved it! Highly recommended!

We had the most fantastic day! From the moment we arrived everything was so well organised, including good space for getting fitted for wetsuits and fins. The boat was super comfy and very clean. The crew were so friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable and all clearly care a great deal about the reef. The snorkeling was greater than great - we saw so many different fish and even a turtle. Definitely recommend Pure Snorkeling as excellent value and awesome people.

I had an incredible time on this tour and I don’t usually travel in tours. The crew (Laurence, Seb, Cam, and I can’t remember the name of the driver) were absolute gems! They were so kind and welcoming and knowledgeable about everything. I was mildly nervous to do this because I’d never snorkelled before but everyone made me feel 1000% safe the whole time. I would book again and highly recommend to anyone!

What an experience. From the moment we arrived at the pontoon for a very informative talk to our farewells as we left the boat. The trip out to the reef and back was in part exhilarating but all happily under the control of our expert skipper, Alex. Two hours of snorkelling was just pure magic. Our snorkelling guides were very helpful and kept a keen eye on our activities, to ensure we had the very best experience. In summing up I could not fault anything on this trip from the boat to the staff or the choice of snorkelling spot. I highly recommend Pure Snorkelling and wouldn't hesitate to repeat the experience with them.

Truly magical!!!! I loved the smaller boat and limited number of people. The crew were fantastic - helpful, charming delightful people. I was impressed by how well organised and efficient everything was. The talk before the trip out to the reef was really interesting - just the right length and the presenter had a great sense of humour. The snorkel guides - Seb, Kiki, Laurence and Beth - made us all feel very safe. We were definitely in good hands ! This was the best snorkelling trip I've ever been on, and I have been snorkelling in several other places - South Africa, Oman, the Red Sea. An amazing day - thank-you everyone - and a big salute to the Captain - Alex. Highly recommended.

this was absolutely incredible. honestly not the best weather which i was worried about but was better than i ever imagined. staff were outstanding, Kiki, Cam, Matt and Alex all were such genuine and lovely people and made us feel so welcomed and got us super excited while explaining more in detail to each group personally. the reef… unbelievable as expected i was blown away. had plenty of time in the water time went so quickly but still incredible. saw turtles!! so many amazing fish and of course the beautiful coral (lots of it). highly highly recommend this company overall amazing would definitely come again if ever back in cairns.
