Ihre Tour beginnt mit einer morgendlichen Abholung von Ihrem Hotel in Udaipur, gefolgt von einer Fahrt nach Eklingji, etwa 20 km von der Stadt entfernt.
Nach Ihrer Ankunft im Eklingji-Tempel verbringen Sie ein paar Stunden damit, die berühmte Tempelanlage zu erkunden. Der Eklingji-Tempel ist eine hinduistische Tempelanlage in Kailashpuri, Udaipur, Rajasthan und ist die Kula Devata der Mewar-Dynastie. Ursprünglich von Bappa Rawal im 8. Jahrhundert erbaut, wurde der Tempel durch Invasionen des Sultanats von Delhi zerstört. Im 14. Jahrhundert renovierte Hamir Singh den Tempel und installierte das erste erhaltene Idol. Rana Kumbha baute es im 15. Jahrhundert um und fügte einen Vishnu-Tempel hinzu. Nach einem Angriff von Ghiyath Shah im späten 15. Jahrhundert rekonstruierte Rana Raimal den Tempel mit dem Lösegeld von Ghiyath Shah. Zunächst gehörte sie zur Pashupata-Sekte, später kam sie im 16. Jahrhundert unter die Kontrolle der Nath-Sekte. Die Sahasra Bahu-Tempel (auch Sasbahu-Tempel genannt) in Nagda, Rajasthan, sind ein Paar Hindu-Tempel aus dem 10. Jahrhundert, die Virabhadra gewidmet sind. Sie teilen sich eine Plattform, wobei der größere Tempel von zehn Nebenschreinen und der kleinere von vier umgeben ist. Die Tempel zeigen Māru-Gurjara-Architektur mit Heiligtum, Mandapa, offener Veranda und gemauerten Schicharas. Während ein Großteil des Äußeren schlicht ist, sind die Innenräume und Veranden aufwendig geschnitzt. Der kleinere Tempel hat eine restaurierte Shikhara, während der größere abgebrochen bleibt. Die Tempel sind lokal bekannt als Sas Bahu, eine Korruption von Sahasra-Bahu (bedeutet "Einer mit tausend Armen", eine Form von Vishnu). Nagda war einst eine wichtige Stadt von Mewar, möglicherweise eine Hauptstadt. 1226 zerstörten Iltutmish Nagda. Salim was an excellent tour guide and considerate and safe driver. He took me to numerous sites in the beautiful countryside north of Udiapur. Places which would have been difficult to visit on public transport. He was very knowledgeable and provided excellent English descriptions of the historical, cultural and religious significance of the sites of Eklingji and Nagda. It was a morning well spent and I highly recommend this tour.

Our driver was SALIM. He did an excellent job of communicating the night before and was on time to pick us up and took us to all the places that we were scheduled to go and showed us a few extra things as well. We enjoyed talking with him and his English was very good. Very smooth and easy experience.

The tour with Salim is a fantastic way to spend your time in Udaipur. Salim took us to magical spots off the beaten path. I highly recommend visiting these two temples. Mr. Sajid was a kind and helpful driver, giving some historical information along the way. He even took us to a few other nice places that were well worth visiting and weren’t even part of the tour.

I took this tour a few days ago and it was wonderful. I recommend the took took just for the fun scenery, but it’s a lot of highway driving so the car would also be a great option. We visited several temples, many of which had no tourist and were wide open to explore and take pictures absolutely beautiful highly recommend.

Salim was an excellent tour guide, he took me via the backroads through a picturesque farming village to both temples. A true taste of India and a stunning tour that should not be missed.
