Unser erstes Ziel für heute ist Budva in Montenegro, bevor wir dort ankommen, machen wir einen Halt in der Nähe von Sveti Stefan, historisch ein Fischerdorf auf einer kleinen Insel nahe der Küste. Heutzutage ist es jedoch nicht mehr möglich, die Insel zu besuchen, da sie sich zu einem exklusiven Wohnort entwickelt hat. Auch wenn man an der Küste steht, ist Sveti Stefan eine Augenweide – ein Foto wert.
Wir fahren in Richtung Budva, einem beliebten Touristenziel, das für seine Strände, seine wunderschöne Natur und seine alten charakteristischen Gebäude bekannt ist. Die Stadt ist zwischen einem alten und einem neuen Teil getrennt. Einerseits gibt es in New Budva viele moderne Gebäude, Büros, Einkaufszentren, Restaurants und Bars.
In der Altstadt von Budva gibt es das historische Zentrum und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, wie die St. Ivan-Kirche, die kleine Kirche St. Mary und die mittelalterliche Pracht der Altstadt, die wir auf dieser Tour besuchen werden.
Unser zweites Ziel für heute ist Kotor, UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe. Die Stadt ist ein Labyrinth aus engen Kopfsteinpflasterstraßen, die die Altstadt durchziehen. Die Absicht war, Eindringlinge zu verwirren, die kamen, um die Stadt zu plündern, während es heute die Stadt charakterisiert. Viele der alten Gebäude und Kirchen haben kleine Tafeln mit ihren Baudaten und ihrer ursprünglichen Nutzung.
Wir besuchen die St.-Lukas-Kirche, die für die Einheimischen eine große Bedeutung hat, weil sie für sie Einheit darstellt.

The trip was advertised as an 8 to 10 hour tour. First, the actual time was 15 hours. Second, it wasn't a "tour". We just had a "driver"..
Montenegro's coastline is stunning and the old towns in both stops are incredible. Our driver and guide, Klodian was perfect for this very long day over bumpy roads. He tended to our needs and wants on this trip. He was very informative but not overwhelming us with too much information. He is an excellent driver and we felt safe with him. We enjoyed his company. Understand that this is a very long, and bumpy road trip as they are working on roadways. But if you want a chance to visit another country without the drive, then this is the way to go.
Klondike is an excellent guide who did not overload us with information. All of our needs were met and he checked our comfort often. He catered the trip to our wishes and is an extremely safe driver! Montenegro's coastline is beautiful. The old cities in both stops are unbeatable. Be prepared for a long ride, road construction as they build a new road. But enjoy Klodi's company for the long day.
Such a fabulous day trip from Tirana. Budva and Kotor are stunning. Endri was an excellent driver and guide, and a genuinely lovely person to spend time with. It was really interesting to chat with Endri about life in Albania and his own experiences. Endri also went out of his way to accommodate my requests. Based on my experience, I’d thoroughly recommend Endri as well as Choose Balkans as a company - they responded quickly and arrived promptly. A lovely lady from Choose Balkans came with Endri to welcome me which was a nice extra detail; I’m not sure if that was just because I was a solo female traveller but it was a very kind gesture.
We recently took a private day trip from Albania to Montenegro , and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. My boyfriend and I loved every moment of it. A huge part of what made the trip so special was our driver and tour guide, Endri. He was incredibly helpful, informative, and professional, while also being friendly and great fun to spend the day with. He shared so much interesting knowledge about both Albania and Montenegro, which really added depth to the experience. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, he was very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves at all times. We would highly recommend this tour company, and especially Endri as a guide. He truly made the day unforgettable!
