Our party of 8 (ages 12-70) spent 3 days with Filipa (Lisbon City Tour, Óbidos/Ereciera/Mafra, and Sintra) and had a fantastic experience. It was a great mix of culture, history, and nature. Great value for the money and extremely professional. Highly recommend!

Great to visit the different neighborhoods and learn more about the history of Lisbon and Portugal. Our guide was very knowledgeable and a great driver!!

Filipa is quite knowledgeable and we were able to go at our own pace as we had already toured the Sao Jorge Castle a couple of days before. We spent a great amount of time in Mouraria as we are very interested about the Moorish influence in Lisbon. She took us for lunch for the best bifanas and beer! Yours to discover!

What a great day with Andre! Very fun to run around with a Lisbon-born and raised local all day long. In addition to visiting the most important neighborhoods of the city, he also customized our tour to our interests/curiosities such as visiting Roman ruins, stopping at a local fair in Alfama to buy a couple of gifts, etc. Andre speaks 4 languages and his English is better than mine. He's passionate about Lisbon and we could not stump him asking anything about the history of the city. Can't recommend the tour more highly.

We had a private tour with Filipa that allowed us to see Lisbon as an overview from a local’s perspective and our own pace. It was perfect in every way. Filipa was kind, considerate, flexible and a fountain of knowledge. It’s clear she researches in considerable depth and far beyond the likely questions and history. She is diplomatic as well as witty. We felt like we were with a life long friend. Her recommendations and advice were invaluable. So lucky to have found her.

Just got back from our visit to Portugal. 5 of us in our party, and friends celebrating a 50th birthday for a long weekend. First time in Portugal, so wanted to get the most of our time and see as much as possible. Joao our Tour Guide was amazing. He really made our tours and appreciate his efforts during the two days with him. Was very informative and quite patient with all of us (and questions) during our travels. Day one was really spent seeing the region outside of Lisbon, but close enough that you were not in a van for the full-day. Visiting Sintra and Cascais was a nice way to start and Joao's suggestions and things to see and places to eat were always appreciated. The day ended back in Lisbon, where we got to see several things we did not on our first day and ended at Dois Corvos for a few beers, great selections, and knowledgeable staff. Day 2 was going out visiting the wine regions. The most impressive was Jose Maria da Fonseca. The guide was quite engaging, the history was quite impressive, and the wines selected were quite good. Also, nice little town they are located in, so even stopping for a quick bite before going in was a nice choice. Overall, we all were quite happy with the service of Portuguese For a Day, and would highly recommend you asking for Joao!

Me and my family visited Lisbon in July 2019 and booked: Private Lisbon Tour With Guide: Andre (he was excellent at parallel parking ;-) and Sintra Small Group Tour with Guide: Valter, through Portuguese For a Day. We give 5 stars on communication, planning, content, execution, safe driving in busy Lisbon traffic, and of course the guides we experienced as friendly and competent. We had a "strong suspicion" that they enjoyed working as guides. We will use the same company on the next visit. Regards Jan
