Das Pantheon ist ein Wunder der antiken römischen Architektur und Ingenieurskunst. Ursprünglich als Göttertempel erbaut, zeugt er mit seinem ikonischen Kuppeldach und dem perfekt erhaltenen Oculus von der Größe des Römischen Reiches und sorgt für ein atemberaubendes Zusammenspiel von Licht und Raum innerhalb des Bauwerks.
Der Trevi-Brunnen ist ein weltberühmtes barockes Meisterwerk im historischen Zentrum von Rom, Italien. Der Brunnen ist bekannt für seine Pracht und seine komplizierten Skulpturen. Er stellt Neptun dar, umgeben von mythischen Meeresbewohnern, und wird für die Tradition gefeiert, eine Münze über die Schulter in den Brunnen zu werfen, was angeblich einen Gegenbesuch in der Stadt sichert.
Die Piazza Venezia ist ein belebter zentraler Platz in Rom mit dem imposanten Altare della Patria (Altar des Vaterlandes). Umgeben von bemerkenswerten Sehenswürdigkeiten wie dem Palazzo Venezia und der Trajanssäule dient der Platz als wichtiger Knotenpunkt für die Verbindung mehrerer wichtiger Straßen im historischen Stadtzentrum.
Der Altar des Vaterlandes, auch bekannt als Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II, ist ein kolossales neoklassizistisches Bauwerk auf der Piazza Venezia in Rom. Das zu Ehren des ersten Königs eines vereinten Italiens, Viktor Emanuel II., erbaute Denkmal dient als Symbol der nationalen Einheit und ist mit Statuen, Säulen und einer beeindruckenden Reiterstatue des Königs geschmückt.
Das Forum Romanum oder Foro Romano ist eine antike archäologische Stätte im Herzen Roms und zeigt die Ruinen wichtiger Regierungsgebäude, Tempel und Basiliken aus der Römischen Republik und dem Römischen Reich. Als politisches, religiöses und kommerzielles Zentrum des antiken Roms bietet das Forum einen faszinierenden Einblick in die reiche Geschichte und das architektonische Erbe der Stadt.
Das Kolosseum, ein Wahrzeichen des antiken Roms, ist ein kolossales Amphitheater im Stadtzentrum. Im Jahr 72 n. Chr. von Kaiser Vespasian in Auftrag gegeben und 80 n. Chr. fertiggestellt, war es einst Austragungsort von Gladiatorenkämpfen, Tierjagden und öffentlichen Spektakeln und gilt als bemerkenswertes Zeugnis der römischen Ingenieurs- und Unterhaltungsfähigkeiten.

I would highly recommend Walkative tours if you're looking to get to know Rome. We had three excellent guides, one was Lisa, second was Camille and the third one was Laura. They were both very professional very knowledgeable and also very very pleasant people.
We’ve been to many walking tours around the world. This was the least interesting. Felt like a precious morning wasted as we are only here for 1 full day.

Skip the line tour is the best option. Otherwise you can end up queuing up to 5 hours during peak season.
We did the welcome to Rome tour! Anastasia was our tour guide and she was exceptional in her knowledge and communication. We admired her patience and professionalism. There were 7 of us from one family and another 2 who had signed up didn't show up. But she took us along with the same enthusiasm nonetheless. Also remarkable how accomodating she was to everyone's individual needs and speeds!! You made our day in Rome worthwhile Thank you Anastasia
The tour was nice and informative, but towards the end, I found out that there were people in the group who did not pay and opted for a donation instead. If you can find free walking tours, I would do that instead, especially as a college student trying to save money.
We chose the True Rome Tour – An Italian Dolce Vita to explore the lesser-known places and to learn about Rome's history and daily life of its inhabitants. We were 1 hour early at the Monument of Giuseppe Mazzini and spend some time enjoying the morning sun when waiting for our guide Laura. About 20 other participants joined and sat with us on the steps of the monument wondering when our guide would come. After a while I found a contact number of Walkative Rome and asked about the whereabouts of our guide. Allegedly, she had been on the street next to the monument and none of us had seen the bright yellow umbrella. Part of the group stayed another half an hour for Laura to come to the monument. The tour itself was underwhelming in our opinion. We would have liked more interesting landmarks instead of the closed rose garden and the biggest abattoir of its time which was not accessible because of renovations. Also, we struggled to find our way back to our accommodation as the finale area of the tour is not on the common map of the Rome centre area. Hopefully this feedback will help to improve this particular tour.
Like the last traveller who went on this Walkative! tour to the Jewish Quarter and Trastevere in Rome with Laura, we were absolutely delighted with our experience. It was so informative and interesting. Laura clearly knows a lot about the ancient and modern history of Rome, and it just made everything come to life. It was of the right length (slightly shorter than advertised), and we had enough time to absorb the views and take in the information. We would strongly recommend this tour.
