Marianna’s passion for the spirit, the history and the family truly shine through. We left both educated and entertained and highly recommend to anyone travelling to Puerto Escondido. Bring plenty of cash to tip (15%+ MX of trip cost minimum) as we couldnt get the venmo QR code to connect and felt bad not leaving more.

A really interesting experience learning about mezcal production and tasting many different types of Mezcal. Our guide was passionate about mezcal and its spiritual and magical properties. I appreciated the subtle flavours of the different varieties of agave and really enjoyed the smoky chilli salt made with worms!

Highly recommend - a very special place, thoughtful tour, friendly people, learned a lot about context and history. Delicious and varied tasting :) this distillery has a super cool family history too.

Marianna was awesome. She explained the process of making Mezcal in the traditional way. Mr Juan joined in at the end of the tasting and you could really see how passionate he was about the integrity of the Mezcal. They offered many tasting options to the group. I do wish that there had actually been some Mezcal production happening at the time of our visit. That would have made the experience more complete for me.

What an interesting tour, where we actually learned about the handcrafting of Mezcal from a guide that is very passionate about the topic. The tastings were generous and everyone found a spirit that "spoke" to them. A fun afternoon for sure.

I was definitely overcharged 0n mezcal purchase 2-250ml bottles,1-750ml mezcal cream and 3 coffee mugs for 2,900 pesos I was rushed and didn't pay enough attention to what I was being charged. So beware

What an amazing tour! This was definitely one of the highlights of our recent trip to PE! Mariana, with her deep knowledge of and passion for mezcal was such an incredible, gracious host! Must book! Mariana’s passion for what she does shows when she taught us about mezcal. I’ve gone on alcohol tours before and don’t usually pay attention. Just go to drink. Theres something about her delivery and the history of mezcal that left me in awe. I walked away with respect for not only the spirit but also the process. Thank you for making such a beautiful tour! & opening it up to all of us to experience!
