Awesome tour guide - so knowledgeable and even more fun. We had a rainy day but we adapted and my wife and I are so glad we did this. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Book at your own risk. The Guide James was clearly high and impaired. MANY very unsafe and unconcerned incidents during the ride, including pushing a rider and she fell. But the most egregious was the following: One of the older riders ( +-65 yo ) made it very clear 3/4 of the way into the ride that she needed to stop and be picked up and driven to the end point to wait for the rest of her party. James the guide said that was not an option. The distressed rider was clearly unstable and fading. Another member of the group (not in distressed rider's party) flagged down a Key West Police cruiser to drive the woman to safety. We were horrified. I was going to attempt to have a private conversation with the owners, but after treading other reviews about James over the years, I realized it would likely not make any difference.
The safety and well-being of our guests is something we take very seriously, and what you described is not representative of the experience or standards we have and expect at Key Lime Bike Tours. We reviewed the circumstances of this tour with our team, including the owner, who was the manager on duty that day. While a guest did become overheated and needed assistance, our understanding of the events differs significantly from the account presented here. Most importantly, our review did not support the characterization that our guide intentionally pushed a guest. Before every tour, guests receive a safety briefing and are specifically instructed that if anyone feels uncomfortable, overheated, or unable to continue for any reason, our team is available to assist and to call us for any reason (we point to the phone number listed on every bike). In this instance, assistance was being coordinated when a Key West police officer kindly offered the guest a ride. Our manager personally met with and assisted the guest afterward, and she had no complaints and said "I was just feeling hot." We understand how concerning the situation may have appeared from another guest’s perspective, and we never dismiss concerns involving safety. At the same time, we feel it is important for future guests reading this review to have the additional context. Thousands of guests have explored Key West with us, and providing a fun, welcoming, and safe experience remains at the heart of what we do.
Really enjoyable bike tour, nice and leisurely pace, perfect for taking in the sights without feeling rushed. Our guide was fantastic. funny, personable, and clearly knew the area inside and out. The key lime pie at the end was the best we’ve had on our trip. highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxed, informative way to explore

We had James as our guide. Took all round Key West. Learned loads of stuff we had no idea about. Took us places that you’d never see otherwise. Bikes were easy to ride, no hills and he supplied the water. Helmets were optional. We wore ours just in case. Easy to find to meet the tour and was only with one other family of four. To finish off, he takes you to the pie shop next door for some Key Lime. Can’t beat some Key Lime in Key West. James did recommend Fort Zachary beach. We went the next day. Great beach but pretty stoney at the shore line. Recommend some sliders or beach shoes if you can’t handle stepping on stones. But that’s another review. All in all, great tour. This was our first activity in Key West. It gave us a great introduction to Key West. Our tour guide, James, was an absolute hoot. Gave us great recommendations for dining and other adventures.
Can say enough, our guide James was a blast, had us all laughing the full tour! Ended with the best key lime pie I've ever had. Felt like we saw all of Key West. I recommend this be everyone's first stop after arriving. Thanks again!

Best thing we did in Key West! James was an incredible guide, knowledgeable and so easy to talk to. We lucked out being the only ones on our tour! Highly recommend.
Very fun! James was very knowledgeable about the area and fun history. Easy bike ride around the city. Gives good exercises and lots of sights to see. I’ve done this tour twice now and every time it has a unique but great take of the city! The key lime pie at the end is a tasty bonus!
