Guangzhou ist eine geschäftige Stadt mit einer Altstadt, in der die traditionelle kantonesische Kultur bewahrt wurde. Bei diesem 3,5-stündigen Rundgang erkunden Sie die Altstadt von Xiguan zu Fuß, tauchen mit unserem ortskundigen Reiseleiter in das lokale Leben ein und erfahren von ihm Hintergrund und Geschichte. Sie sehen die Lychee Bay, das alte Haus von Xiguan, den Liwanhu-Park, Yong Qing Fang, die Fußgängerzone Shangxiajiu und die Insel Shamian, wo die Reise endet. Außerdem probieren Sie einen lokalen Snack in einem lokalen Restaurant. Treffen Sie sich draußen, Ausgang A, Station Zhongshanba der U-Bahn-Linie 5. Zentral gelegenes Hotel in Guangzhou (die Bezirke Liwan, Yuexiu, Tianhe und Haizhu sind zentrale Gebiete). Abholung ist optional (Absetzen nicht inbegriffen). Es gibt zwei Abfahrten um 9:00 Uhr und 14:00 Uhr pro Tag.

Treffen Sie Ihren Guide um 9:00 oder 14:00 Uhr vor Ausgang A der Zhongshanba-Station der U-Bahn-Linie 5 mit Ihrem Namensschild. Dann beginnen Sie Ihren Rundgang mit Ihrem Guide zum Renwen-Tempel, einem typischen taoistischen Tempel. Anschließend besuchen Sie den Liwanhu-Park, in dem die Einheimischen tanzen, singen und Spiele spielen. In Lychee Bay stehen die gut erhaltenen alten Xiguan-Häuser, die einst das Zuhause reicher Leute waren. Bei einem Spaziergang entlang der Duobao Road und der En'ning Road werden Sie vom lokalen Leben, dem geschäftigen Markt, den alten Geschäften und der Snackstraße usw. begeistert sein, die den traditionellen kantonesischen Lebensstil widerspiegeln. Darüber hinaus werden Sie in einem lokalen Restaurant einen lokalen Snack probieren. Sie werden mit Ihrem Guide auch das beliebte Yong Qing Fang und das Canton Opera Museum (montags geschlossen) besuchen. Dann gehen Sie zur Fußgängerzone Shangxiajiu, bevor Sie zur Shamian-Insel weiterfahren, einem schönen Ort mit alten Häusern am Perlfluss. Wenn die Tour endet, hilft Ihnen Ihr Guide, ein Taxi oder eine U-Bahn zurück zu Ihrem Hotel zu bekommen.

It was easy to find the guide in front of the metro station exit, even though the company didn't provide any information how I and guide meet. She (mango) guided and explained traditional temple, lake park, old traditional houses well. The guide was fantastic and it worth to explore the city which is not familiar with her. She speaks english well with precise word selection. The pick-up service was included. It said the guests in hotels of the central area would get pick-up service, but the firm didn't check it in advance. The last 20 min walk from the old houses to the island was a bit hard for me, so it would be better to find the way to take a short ride of bus or metro.
My guide was a very nice young lady, who tried hard but her english conversational skills were not fantastic so while she was knowledgeable, I really struggled to understand her at times. I did wonder if she was a novice guide. The meeting place is not obvious - its exit A from the metro. I had to every exit to look for my guide. I tried to contact customer services at the time but they did not respond. Guangzhou Old Town is very pretty and definitely worth a visit. My highlight was popping into the Cantonese Opera Museum to look at the singers costumes as well as listening to them perform.

We understand that metro stations can be confusing, and we’re sorry you had to search, but we want to assure future guests that the meeting point is clearly communicated in writing. We truly appreciate your visit and hope that despite the initial confusion, you left with fond memories of Xiguan.

Guide is a university student and she understands the history well. Walking tour includes GZ (Luwan district) old town. Starts 9 am , ends 12 pm

A fantastic trip . We had a great time with Sunny. She was a great tour guide. She’s patience, knowledgeable , funny , kind and answered all our dumb questions . Had a great 3 hours walking tour with our guide Stoney who brought us to see different places such as 荔枝湾 (Lychee Bay), 永庆坊 (Yongqingfang) and 沙面岛 (Shamiandao island) while sharing the history and interesting facts of each place which was truly insightful experience for us as we had a more in depth understanding of Guangzhou now. This is our first visit to Guangzhou and I’m glad that we had a tour guide to bring us around and sharing with us some stories which will enrich our memories and experience of the places we have visited together. Thank you to Stoney for treating us to the desserts and being ever so patient with us when we have so many questions to ask about each place we visited.

The experience was great, it allowed me to explore the beauty of Guangzhou on a solo layover of just a few hours. Mango speaks really great English and was very friendly and kind. She showed me a taste of authentic local life which is rare to find in organised tours. She also allowed me to use her hotspot and waited with me until my didi pickup arrived.
