Sie können die Stadt Funchal besuchen, etwas über ihre Geschichte erfahren, einige der Wahrzeichen und Gegenden besuchen, darunter die Altstadt aus dem 15. Jahrhundert, die Sé-Kathedrale, den berühmten Mercado dos Lavradores (Bauernmarkt) oder die Fortaleza do Pico. . Das üppige Bergdorf Monte liegt 550 m über dem Meeresspiegel und bietet schöne Gärten, eine fantastische Aussicht und den berühmten "Taboggan Ride".
Die östlichen Klippen von Garajau bieten ebenfalls einen herrlichen Blick über den Atlantik und die Stadt Funchal. Auf dem Weg nach oben befindet sich die erste Haltestelle in Pináculo, 280 m über dem Meeresspiegel, am Rand einer Klippe. Fahren Sie weiter nach Garajau am östlichen Ende der Bucht von Funchal. Sie erhalten einen spektakulären Blick auf die Statue "Christus der Erlöser" (älter als die in Brasilien), während Sie das kristallklare Wasser darunter bestaunen.
Das Fischerdorf Câmara de Lobos ist berühmt für seine pittoresken Blicke mit farbenfrohen Fischerbooten im Trockendock direkt im Zentrum des Dorfes, einer kleinen Bucht und steilen Hügeln mit vielen alten Gebäuden. Seine einzigartige Schönheit wurde in einem Gemälde von Winston Churchill verewigt. Sobald Sie im Dorf sind, haben Sie die Möglichkeit, es zu erkunden, etwas über seine Geschichte und Kultur zu erfahren und einige der lokalen Köstlichkeiten zu probieren.
Nach Ihrem Besuch im Fischerdorf können Sie die Hügel hinauf zum Cabo Girão-Felsen besteigen, wo auf seinem höchsten Punkt, 580 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel, ein glatter Sky-Walk einen atemberaubenden Blick auf die Südostküste und den Strand bietet unten.

We took the Tuk Tuk tour in Madeira and it was fantastic. It’s a great way to see the highlights of the city and learn about its history. John was our guide and did an outstanding job. He was so knowledgeable and friendly and fun. And I had injured my knee and he helped me in and out of the Tuk. We were never rushed so we had long stops to make sure we saw everything. Also took us to a bakery that makes this wonderful dessert. Can’t remember the name but this place makes the original. I would definitely ask for John if I was going on the tour

Our tuk tuk tour in Funchal was one of the highlights of our trip! Domilia was without doubt our perfect guide—she was entertaining, kind and incredibly informative. This was a great way to tour around Funchal area on a beautiful sunny day. Our driver/guide John was really good and helped us get a feel for the area. We felt safe & everything went well capping off the tour by dropping us at the vintage room for a Madeira tasting. Great day!

We had a wonderful trip with Margarida on our tuk-tuk tour. We were unfortunately delayed with our ship arrival, but the company was very accommodating and waited for us until we were able to get off. Margarida was a fabulous tour guide. She listened to our interests and tailored the tour perfectly. And she took great photos of us. Our first stop was up the hill to the toboggan. She gave us great instructions, and when we were finished was there to pick us up. We then covered much of the downtown area and some of the newer developments while she took us up to some incredible vistas and then down into a lovely fishing village. We also visited the glass-bottom viewpoint, some beautiful caves, and she even took us to a winery so we could try the famous Madeira wine. We had a lovely day with her and appreciated her knowledge, experience and sense of humour. It was a great introduction to Madeira and encouraged us to return at another time.
