Great War Island Kayak Abenteuer

Beschreibung

We had a great time 😊 and nice physical activity 💪
“Kayaking around the "Great War Island’ with Danije was a highlight of my trip! As a local, he shared fascinating history about the island, Belgrade, and Serbia. The Danube was beautiful, the stories were captivating, and the experience was unforgettable. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!”
Great tour. Professional set up, nice people. English speaking Cancellation rules well followed. We were very happy to book again and enjoy!
My wife and our two friends had a great time on the kayak tour - the weather was due to be thundery but it was sunshine throughout which was brilliant. It can be tough at times, when paddling against the current - so you feel like you've earned your cevapi afterwards! The scenery is brilliant and the guide was really clear with instructions and kept the group safe at all times. When able during the tour he had some good recommendations of things to do in Belgrade and was very friendly. I mixed up my days and our group arrived a day early . . . which was completely my fault - but still they managed to accommodate us and it didn't impact on the rest of our trip, this was really good of them as they would have been well within their rights to turn us away and we all really appreciated them helping us out when I'd made a massive mistake! Due to the nature of the tour it's worth noting that this isn't guided, as in you won't get a great deal of information as you would on a walking tour. But this is understandable as the guide needs to concentrate on safety far more than on other types of tour.
It was fun to go out on the river but....... a little instruction before we started - for those that had not kayaked before this was not sufficient. Once on the river they were left to it and frequently were left a long way behind. We finished well after sunset and one couple of girls were still out of sight further downstream. Our guide was not very talkative until we made a real effort to talk to him. He seemed frustrated by the girls inability and made little effort to make the experience a fun group activity. A lot of wood and rubbish being carried downstream and bad mosquitos at sunset. No photos.
Great experience just remember to take a small bottle of water I recommend. The instructor Mick was great and very kind, I recommend him too
It was an amazing tour, a different way to discover Belgrade. The guide was friendly and did his best to make sure we had a good time. For example, he found a very nice spot where we could swim. Don’t worry if you don’t speak Serbian, the guide spoke very often in English to ensure I understood everything. Indeed, I was the only non-Serbian speaker, which contributed to making the experience very authentic. He also kindly sent us the pictures he took during the tour. I highly recommend this activity.
Great tour with some great scenery. Definitely would recommend. Daniel, the tour guide, is super friendly and further enriches the trip with his historical knowledge
The tour was worth every cent. Much background information, an incredible feeling on the Danube and a beautiful island. Would highly recommend.
Wonderful trip down the river and around Great War Island with it's Louisiana-like nature (felt like we were in "True Detective" for a while there). Our guide was very polite and helpful. Even for me and my friend, who are not used to kayaking, the trip was not too exhausting (though quite the workout, to be sure). Recommended!
