Der Grape Train Escape der Verde Canyon Railroad ist eine Abendveranstaltung mit Weinverkostungen an Bord, bei denen verschiedene Weingüter aus Arizona und darüber hinaus vorgestellt werden. An Bord des „Grape Train Escape“ wird den Passagieren eine Auswahl ausgewählter Weine serviert. Außerdem können die Gäste spezielle Käsesorten und Vorspeisen genießen, die als Ergänzung zu den vorgestellten Weinen ausgewählt wurden. Viogniers von jedem Weingut werden an Bord sein, um das Terroir und die Techniken der Weinherstellung zu erläutern. Diese Veranstaltung ist für Passagiere ab 21 Jahren. Ein Altersnachweis kann verlangt werden.

A great experience riding the train and getting amazing views of the scenery. The wine tasting was absolutely great with a wonderful selection of wines that were given out for the tasting. If you are looking for great views and good time, this is the adventure to do.

If you get motion sick, I would hesitate, we had a little bit of a hard time with that. Otherwise, everything was so amazing. We are glad we went. The view was easier to handle from outside and the interior was really cozy. Staff was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of fun information along the entire trip. We were able to also enjoy the starlight sky, which was amazing from the outside car.

That the wines were not good nor did they offer a variety that would appeal to a person that likes a sweeter wine.

It was an awesome experience! The time before the train ride was much less desirable. The food options were limited and mostly fried food. There were few vegetarian food options (only 1 which was a salad with no meat added.) There was no wifi provided on the train, which can be considered good or bad depending on your perspective.
