I booked a golfing package for my wife and I back in April 2022. It was $423 US Dollars total for the package and I was led to believe that included golf clubs and transportation to and from the cruise ship in Falmouth, Jamaica. A few days prior to our trip someone from the transport company, george, called me to let me know that we did not have the golfing package and that in order to get it it would be $190 more US Dollars on top of the $423 we had already spent. When we got to the golf course the rental golf clubs did not even come with golf balls. I had to haggle with the worker just to get some low grade golf balls. The frustrating part was that when I initially booked at the recommendation of my travel agent I was assured that the 423 initial US Dollars would cover the round of golf, the transportation to and from the cruise ship, and golf clubs. I ended up having to spend over $600 just for me to play golf and my wife to ride along in the cart. If anyone reads these I would be interested in a refund or a credit of some sort for misleading information. Thank you.
From our investigations the booking was improperly made, the customer was contacted, and was offered to cancel the booking, or pay the additional cost for adjustments which the customer confirmed and approved. on the matter of golf balls, our Golf rentals come with a sleeve of balls if the customer thinks they are low quality,an opinion we do not share
Took a “me-time” break from the family cruise, had the best time ever. Played Cinnamon Hill course, challenging but fun! My caddy Shawnee was great, such a sweet friendly person who knew the course like the back of her hand and gave me good reads on the putting green. Course is too-notch, highly recommend. They offer callaway club rentals. Pick-up and drop-off went very well, always felt safe. Viator and local excursion company communicated well and always responded quickly. The one watch out is to pay attention to the times. The cruise ship was operating on US Eastern Time, and the excursion was operating on Jamaica time, one hour behind. Also, cruise ship bumped up their no-later-than time to board from 5 pm to 4 pm eastern, I.e. 3 pm Jamaica time. My advice is to arrange pickup as early as possible to maximize your time, let the local excursion company and course know your timing constraints and they’ll make it happen. Bottom line, cruise ship made my game a bit rushed, but had a fantastic time. Once in a lifetime opportunity to play a premier course in Jamaica!!
