I had a fantastic experience on the Gobustan Safari Rock Art Museum and Mud Volcanoes tour. It was one of the most interesting and memorable excursions I’ve done in Azerbaijan. Gobustan is an incredible place - the ancient rock carvings, the open landscapes, and the deep sense of history make it truly unique. The off-road drive to the mud volcanoes was exciting, and the scenery really does feel like another planet. Seeing the bubbling mud volcanoes in person was something I will never forget. Our guide Adil was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about his country. He explained everything clearly, shared interesting facts and stories, and made the tour feel personal rather than touristy. Everything was well organized, comfortable, and stress-free. This excursion to the Gobustan Safari Rock Art Museum and mud volcanoes was a real highlight of our trip. We would particularly like to highlight our guide Nurlan. Nurlan speaks very good German and has superbly looked after us throughout the day. He was extremely attentive, friendly and dedicated. We experienced a lot with him – he explained an incredible amount, gave us exciting background information and answered all our questions. You could tell that he took a lot of time for us and really wanted us to be able to enjoy and understand everything in peace. Thanks to his explanations, the rock carvings, the landscape and the mud volcanoes became particularly vivid and interesting. An all-round perfectly organized tour with a great guide.
