Nach dem Treffen am vereinbarten Abholpunkt startet die Tour zum Staatlichen Historischen und Kulturellen Reservat Gobustan, 50 Fahrminuten von Baku entfernt. Die erste Station ist das Gobustan Museum, das sich neben der Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape befindet. Dieses moderne Museum führt die Gäste in das alte Kulturerbe der Region ein und zeigt mehr als 6.000 steinzeitliche Felsgravuren, die Jagdszenen, Rituale, Tiere und das tägliche Leben illustrieren. Bei den Felsenhütten trifft man auf eines der wichtigsten Kulturerbe Aserbaidschans. We used this private tour for two consecutive days. It was extremely convenient to be able to incorporate it into our own schedule while taking our other sightseeing plans into account. Access to Gobustan National Park is quite limited, and traveling by car is definitely the best option. While it’s possible to book a car through an app each time, you may end up waiting a long time if the timing is bad. In that sense, a private tour with a dedicated vehicle is undoubtedly the best choice. Our guide, Shahriyar Malikli, and our driver, Vugar, picked us up from our specified location. They were also very accommodating whenever we requested to stop by additional sightseeing spots along the way. They proved to be highly reliable partners for a private tour. Next time we visit, and whenever friends of ours plan a trip to Baku, we will definitely recommend them!
This tour was a fantastic experience and highly enriching from start to finish. Our guide, Shahryiar, was extremely knowledgeable and provided detailed explanations throughout the journey. What stood out most was how he brought history to life—explaining how people lived during the Paleolithic and Stone Age, while thoughtfully comparing it with developments in other parts of the world. It gave a much deeper, global perspective that I hadn’t expected. The visit to the mud volcanoes was also fascinating, and Shahryiar shared clear and engaging insights into their formation and significance. I also really enjoyed seeing the Bibi-Heybat Mosque and the shipyard at the South Port. The mosque was beautiful and serene, while the shipyard was a unique highlight—something you don’t get to see every day, which made the experience even more memorable. Our driver, Vugar, was very professional and ensured a smooth and comfortable ride throughout the day, even on mountainous terrain and unpaved roads. We felt safe at all times. The best part of this experience is that it’s a private tour, so you have the flexibility to spend more time at the spots that interest you most. That level of customization made the tour even more valuable. I would especially recommend this tour to business travelers visiting Baku who want to make the most of their limited time, as well as to anyone looking for a tour with in-depth, professional historical explanations.
