We had a great time exploring Glasgow’s food and pub scene with Iain on a private tour. You can tell how much Iain loves this city and spending several hours with him was informative and a lot of fun. Highly recommended.
Mhairi was a fantastic guide. She picked a great menu of authentic dishes and paired them with perfectly matched drinks. Her passion, knowledge, and personality made for a great event. This was my second event with Mhairi.
James took us to some great spots throughout the city centre. We enjoyed all of the food and he was able to find accommodations for allergens and a vegetarian at every stop. Was a great experience start to finish.
We had an amazing time with Lei! The food choices were amazing and I’ll be trying to make the seafood pie at home. Very knowledgeable with Glasgow’s history as well and food. We also loved and appreciated the recommendations she gave us for our last day in the city and can’t wait to see it, gracias Lei!!
Leire was our host and she was fabulous! We had just gotten to Glasgow from the United States. We were hungry and tired, but she made our tour so very interesting(we learned so much about Scottish history) and the food and restaurant choices were amazing. It was such an enjoyable experience and a great way to begin our 2 week journey through Scotland and Ireland. She gave us so much info that really helped with the rest of our trip. I cannot recommend this tour enough!!!!
It was the perfect blend of food, culture, and history. James was a friendly and knowledgeable guide.
My wife and I really enjoyed having James as our Walking Food Guide. He provided interesting information and questions while adapting to both our NZ background and that we were the only ones on this Tour. Length of tour and the volume of food/drink were excellent, and I would recommend that for maximum enjoyment, it would be best to avoid having breakfast prior to the 11am Tour. We would suggest that Guides have some distinctive clothing/banner/flag so that they are easily identified at the large public meeting spot. Both James and us were waiting 10-15 minutes while not being aware of the identity of the other group. We also felt that 115 pounds was excessive for what we received - would suggest a maximum of 75 pounds to be more reasonable. Overall we enjoyed this experience as another way to enjoy as well as understand the history of Glasgow, as we have done in a number of other Cities.
James was a terrific tour guide! He took us to fantastic places and taught us a lot about Scottish history and culture. I highly recommend this tour!
Excellent, fantastic food and great journey with our guide. Pizza, curry, soup and dessert. Highly recommend this tour.
Thank you, Julie, for sharing your amazing experience! We're thrilled you enjoyed the culinary journey and the variety of dishes, from pizza to dessert. Your recommendation inspires us to keep crafting memorable food tours for our guests.
Mhairi did a fabulous job of introducing us to Glaswegian food, history and culture. We had a really good afternoon together. I highly recommend the tour as a way to introduce you to the city and its great restaurants.
